A Kansas judge has come under fire for saying in court that two girls--solicited by an online predator to have sex with him when they were 13 and 14--were partly to blame for what happened to them.
“I do find that the victims in this case, in particular, were more an aggressor than a participant in the criminal conduct,” Leavenworth County Judge Michael Gibbens said in remarks delivered at a December sentencing for a 67-year-old man who paid for sex with the two girls, according to a report in the Kansas City Star.

If the girls knowingly prostituted themselves, they bear moral blame, but, legally, the so-called adult knew he was breaking the law and bears all of the responsibility.

Here’s a couple of dudes who’d look good hanging at the end of a rope.
this is an 65 old man with 13 and 14 year girls not a 18 year old boy that decided his senior year of high school to take a freshman girl out on a date who got in trouble because they progressed past the kissing stage of dating. This guy is the type of vermin that parents fear might become a coach or teacher.
However, considering that

Was there indication that this was an isolated incident?
To me, it appears that the older sister (and, possibly the mother) should also have been investigated for child trafficking, -- even for running a child prostitution operation.
Something was deeply, deeply wrong in that family -- and it probably continues...
