A Kansas judge has come under fire for saying in court that two girls--solicited by an online predator to have sex with him when they were 13 and 14--were partly to blame for what happened to them.
“I do find that the victims in this case, in particular, were more an aggressor than a participant in the criminal conduct,” Leavenworth County Judge Michael Gibbens said in remarks delivered at a December sentencing for a 67-year-old man who paid for sex with the two girls, according to a report in the Kansas City Star.

WTF is wrong with a 67-year old to be this depraved? I just don’t get it.

Many 13 and 14 year old girls are sexually mature and promiscuous.
We may not like that fact. But it is true.
Hard to tell, looks like they’re out of the same mold.
A sexually aggressive child is acting so due to past abuses. Good grief judge. If they even were sexually aggressive. Teen girls unless mature and secure are very vulnerable to sexual grooming. These girls if typical had little to no supervision, were left to themselves, and I’d be surprised if they have an involved father.
This is why you watch teen girls carefully. I know I was one. We are vulnerable and GULLIBLE. we aren’t adults yet. Very weak in this area.
It’s probably true but it’s no excuse in the case.

This was a situation so bad that even “Child Services” couldn’t make it worse... well, maybe they could.
And they don’t go after shriveled and wrinkley old men.
Some may not like that fact, (pretty sure the judge doesn’t) but it’s true.
It doesn’t excuse the old pervert at all. Throw the book at him.
OTOH, there should be some way of imposing legal sanctions on underage girls who aggressively solicit. Same deal with teenage boys who hop in bed with their 30 something female teachers. Throw the book at the teachers; they’re supposed to be adults and know better. But the boys aren’t exactly innocent either.
That's not new news. (Many of us guys were once 14, ourselves -- and we have memories...)
