Apples to oranges. Superbowl rings are much rarer and much harder to win than NBA rings.
That is why almost no one ranks Bill Russel as The GOAT despite his 11 rings and Michael Jordan is ranked as the GOAT on nearly every list despite him having only 6 rings.
I In the NBA, The Celtics have won 17 rings, while The Lakers have 16 titles.
In the NFL on the other hand, the most anyone has won is 6 titles(The Steelers), followed by New England; San Francisco and Dallas at 5 each. No one is even close to 17 or 16.

I think the best part about all of this is how many liberals will be standing up (or kneeling?) and cheering on this screed as being particularly witty and a strong attack against racism in America.
Since I’ve not seen a single NFL game this season, it’d be kind of bizarre of me to have a favorite either way in the Superbowl game, and honestly don’t have much interest in watching the game either. Which is a distinct switch, I used to watch the game to see the commercials. But I’m already assuming that it’ll just be a tsunami of ads to prove how liberal every company is.
If they are Team MAGA then why are they supporting the fight against toxic masculinity by continuing to call “Gillette” Stadium home?
Seems likely that if the Superbowl was a best 2 out of 3 that there would be much longer dynasties. Football is such that the vagaries of one game go a long way toward balancing the advantage of the best team.
The funny thing is that I had been totally ambivalent about today’s game. This article turned me into a Pats fan.

Never understood the Patriots hate...comong from an Eagles fan. I think the ESPNERS push the agenda cause they can’t stand being reminded how a bunch of guys who don’t fit their fantasy of what they think “real” football stars should be. Slow white QB. 2 starting white wideouts, white star tight end, a white half back and a fullback??? They still use a fullback? Love this team.
It’s this simple: a lot of people hate the Patriots because they dare to start a few white players at skill positions. They really don’t have any more white players than most NFL teams, they just dare to start them at forbidden positions. A few years ago they had sets on offense with 10 white players in the game, with 8 being the norm. That’s no longer the case, but they did win the AFC Championship Game by giving the ball to a white running back for three plays in a row. That cuts against everything the Powers That Be stand for. White men are supposed to be effeminate, weak, stupid, and inferior in all ways to black men. That message is consistent throughout the media, with sports media leading the way.
The NFL systematically discriminates against white players (the few who are allowed to get that far). The Patriots, for whatever reason, have made a habit of picking up these castoffs from other teams, and winning with them. They do it with black players too, but if you are looking for undervalued players, white players are going to be over-represented. For those of you who think that the NFL only cares about winning or money, please explain the kneeling during the National Anthem. That’s a money loser. The NFL is social engineering. Most professional and college sports are. The NFL is supposed to be a “copy-cat” league, but nobody copies the Patriots.
White fans HATE white players. If you are an obese 60 year old man, a black player is different enough from you that he isn’t a constant reminder of what a fat slob you are. A white player is somewhat similar to you; a constant reminder of your decline. The media feeds your hatred: when a team scores, the camera finds the only white player on the defense to assign blame. It doesn’t matter if he was completely away from the play. It might not matter if he was even in the game at the time. The social conditioning is pervasive.
That’s why the Patriots are so polarizing. They have white skill players. It’s the same reason for the seething hatred of Duke basketball. Duke has occasionally had really good teams with more white players than fans can tolerate. They are all Nick Sandmann, smirking at them nonstop. Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, Rob Gronkowski, Chris Hogan, Rex Burkhead, all smirking at them, haunting their dreams with all of that unbearable whiteness!
