A series of prominent Democrats demanded Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam's resignation on Friday, excoriating him for appearing in a racist yearbook photo showing one person dressed in blackface and another in the KKK's signature white hood and robes.
The calls came from a number of 2020 presidential candidates, members of Congress and prominent liberal organizations, all of whom said Northam's apology on the issue was not enough. The NAACP also called for Northam to leave office. Those calls, however, were not echoed by Virginia Democrats, including Sens. Tim Kaine and Mark Warner. Both said they were shocked and offended by the photos, but in separate statements both said it was time for the governor to think about what comes next for him and to listen to those he has offended. Northam, for his part, has vowed to finish his one and only term as Virginia governor, issuing a video statement on Friday evening where he apologized but pledged to remain in office.

Personally, I hope he fights it and stays in. Exhibit A of the hypocrisy of the left.
The Dem party gives us the hate we have seen since Trump won. They have bigots against Jews, and now we see them supporting their old habits of the KKK.
Saying that we can we expect from a party which were against civil rights, were for slavery, and segregation, and violence from the KKK.
Liberals must be very proud of their bigotry and how it still exists within their party, regardless of themselves shouting co-exist, tolerance and peace.
Democrats know that if Northam stays in, he has written a hall pass for every Republican
No way he stays - I suspect he’s out before Monday morning. The Dems can’t run campaigns based on racial hatred and envy while propping this guy up. This provides campaign material for EVERY Republican candidate, in EVERY state (and Trump as well), and Dems more than ever have to cling to black voters - they alone denied Hillary PA, WI, and MI in 2016, and Dems can’t have a repeat of that.
Or to eliminate “has become the party of baby murderers” out of the SOTU address.

Rush made a good point yesterday when he said that the Democrats are committing suicide. This may be what is happening with this manifestation. Telling tale. But I turned Rush off yesterday when he said that Fentanyl doesn’t kill in minute amounts. That was total BS, and he shouldn’t pontificate on such a critical subject. I’ve seen where first responders have had to be treated for minute exposures...

I just saw a link on FB, it was Anderson Cooper doing his segment on this but on the bottom of the screen they had the governor with an (R) after his name, not a (D).
No way that was accidental, it had to be on purpose.

But when you think about it, he pretty much embodies the perfect Democrat. They are the party of slavery, KKK, Jim Crow, and infanticide.

And since there are no coincidences in politics, I wouldn't be surprised if this Friday news dump was timed to drop on Super Bowl weekend.
One thing we all learned from Chrissy Balsey Ford was to hold on to all our old photos.The Democrats opened up a hornets nest with #metoo and now this. The 70’s was the Soul Train Era and Blackface pictures/parties were everywhere. CBF was in Black face in her yearbook. Elections are going to be really fun going forward. AnOctober surprise everyday.
I confess I don’t even find humor in this kind of thing anymore, it just scares the wits out of me to see what the actual priorities that are in effect are.
The cult of death is in charge of the Democrat party, so they pulled out this old picture to dump this inconvenient jerk.

I don’t agree. I do think it’s theater, but more importantly a distraction to the fact the 12,000 illegals will hit the US border on Tuesday, the night of the SOTU. Look to cameras being there to show women and children and the humanity crisis that the media will say was caused by Trump.
