Uniparty never wanted it. Too much of an election leverage issue for them.

Meh... I was at shot show this year. One exhibit after the other looking exactly the same; “Tactica-cool” and “gear-queer” shit; BORING. Their problem (big industry types) is there is pretty much nothing more to do with “modern” firearms at this point. They kill REALLY good.
What I TRULY enjoyed was the 5th level small business exhibit’s. THAT is where I saw innovation going on.
First couple days were spent on levels 1/2/3. Meh, didn’t pick up much of anything to follow up on. Even the “new products” exhibit was 100% “so what?!!!”. Last day, level 5; two bags FULL of guys/gals and companies I want to talk to in 2019 and anything they could give me to further read.

Only reason I will probably go next year is for the small business level. Had a great, great time talking to all of them and learning how and why they were shaping their business and products. And yes, I intend to use more than a couple of their services as it directly can help my business.

So many opportunities presented to supporters of the Second Amendment.

Instead, we got a bumpstock ban.

Las Vegas was the pivot point where the pro-gun momentum stopped. As usual, the left (and/or Deep State) is willing to kill as many people as necessary to turn things in their favor.

My mother did that when she caught a herd of does eating her prized chrysanthemums. But she’s 78 and needed back surgery after body-slamming the third one.

Give your wife a big HUG for me - and if she’s not a hugger, then a big High Five! :)

We’re pretty well set in this household, but it’s been a way of life for a long time for Country Folk. ;)

Still have some finishing touches to add to the third floor machine gun turret, and the perimeter from the north needs a little more work. ;)

Think about this, bump stocks are a gimmick that really impedes accuracy, hardly a loss.

ROFLMAO !!! I can see that in My head.

Did She gut/skin/butcher/tan the hide or go for shoulder mounting or free standing before getting medical help ?

At Canyon Lake, TX people either love Bambi and feed them or are at total war with them. You can leave a trail of corn from the yard into the garage and sit in a chair waiting for them to come in and then POP ‘Em in the head with a Hammer.

Or spend all your money on fencing, scent deterrence, electric fencing, motion sensor sprayer heads (they just get used to the sprayers, then after a few days They start bringing Soap,Shampoo, Conditioner, Towels and the Hairdryer.) OR just stop trying to have Flowers and Veggie Gardens.

When a President backs the 2nd Amendment, folks don’t get worried about them actually coming for their guns - no emergency sales spurts....they need to adjust to a smoother sales model w/o the Obama type spikes...

My wife is now shooting and getting ready to get a CCW when last year she had no interest.

Ditto. I also see a lot more women at the range than 5 years ago.

I've got a buddy in NoVA who owns an acre and a half in the hills of the exburbs, the back side of which is all wooded and runs parallel to two small creek ridges. When he bought the place about 30 years ago, he noticed that the deer would come up just as far as the upslope side of the upper ridge, and stop there. Given that the back of the house was a deck that had been covered and converted to a full room, every fall since then he's sat in there at the dinette table in shorts and a T-shirt, with beer and a deer rifle, no matter how cold, wet, or snowy outside. We're talking Tree Stands Of The Rich and Famous. A ten second walk from a full bathroom to a cracked-open window and heating vent. He's tried feed corn, salt licks, you name it, and has yet to bag one on his property. He'll find hoof prints, rut marks on the trees, chewed up acorn shells, but has never seen one pop over the top of that ridge when he actually has a rifle in his hands. They will crash through the brush and practically dare him to charge at them bare-knuckled, though. I told him they're bedding down in that upper creek bed every fall, taunting him and waiting for another free meal.

He should be carrying a 10mm Kimber 1911 w/230gr HPs, for “those special moments”.

He's got a stainless Ruger Blackhawk in .44 Mag for those occasions, but he has to be careful which direction he aims outdoors. He's almost burned down his neighbor's house twice in unrelated aerial pyrotechnic mishaps, so he doesn't need another 911 call to the neighborhood. The porch window keeps his line of fire directed into the hillside. I think I may have put out his neighbor's kitchen window squirrel hunting about 20 years ago, though. It was a gray, chilly day, the squirrels weren't out barking at each other, so I got bored and went for a crow.

Dear love corn on the cob; I’ve used that as bait, next to a salt lick.

Dozens of deer used to come thru my nursery & garden center to rut the field-grown trees, and ruin them, so I had to lure them to the other end of the 20ac nursery, or shoot them when they came up out of the hollow, on the next property, where they nested.

I shot one with my Kimber 1911 .45cal ACP w/ 230gr HPs, as it was trying to break into one of my 8 30ft x 90ft perennial growing greenhouses.

Just found out my niece's school bus took out a deer this morning. The cops showed up, and had to put it down.

Someone, somewhere in the hills of the MD panhandle is grilling some back-strap in 10 degree air tonight. And I bet they wear a badge.
