I haven’t heard exactly how prescription drugs would be handled. The way I see it, if the government is in charge of everything, they’ll hoard all the drugs for themselves and their families, and we peons will be on our own.
Probably a good idea to do more research on homeopathic medicine and home remedies passed down through generations. An old medical book we found at the family farm had a remedy for something (pneumonia, maybe) that involved cocaine. Maybe best to pass on that one.

SUCH an idiot. SO VERY wrong.
Here is socialized medicine in a way anyone can understand. Medical treatment is dinners and doctors and providers are chefs and cooks. The capitalist health care system is a restaurant. Serving gourmet meals, delicious, at high but fair prices.
One day the restaurant is told by its owners that it must feed an extra 200 patrons a night who would not be able to pay full prices. Some could pay a little, some could not pay at all. But serve them all, they MUST.
What would happen? Easy to figure out. The quality for all diners would go drastically down. They couldn’t afford the high quality produce and meats. Nor the best chefs and line cooks. There would be lines as well as food running out.
Of course, the wealthiest patrons would go around the corner, buy a little storefront, and put a tiny gourmet bistro in so they could still dine on the quality they could afford. But the middle and upper middle classes have to still eat the cheap slop of the poor.
