Likewise. I took an introductory philosophy course at the U. of Calif. Berkeley. I was very young and thought I had a passable vocabulary. I don’t think I understood one-tenth of the lectures. In the final I had a roaring tooth ache and asked to be excused. No dice. So I wrote some of the most atrocious gibberish possible, submitted the final, and expected the worst. I got a B. I never again took a philosophy course.
