Amazing after three and a half years of Trump having the Deep State taking aim at him 24/7 that a bunch of you here still panic and predict ultimate gloom and doom with every issue. Why don’t we actually see the deal in place before we start gripping.
The goal should be to push workers to voluntarily leave on their own without having to RIF them — especially in these non-essential functions.

By all accounts, no. This is supposed to open the agencies at their current level of funding. It won't even include the $1.6 billion that the House passed last year.
Both the House and the Senate have to pass this temporary spending bill. I fear this is similar to delaying the Kavanaugh vote. The democrats got a hearing of Ford and Kavanaugh and a brief FBI investigation. In the end, only one Democrat senator voted for Kavanaugh. Trump may end up having to declare a National Emergency after 3 weeks anyway.
And a rumor is all that is.

That probably means no wall funding for now.
All is not lost. It takes time and effort to make something as symbolic as the wall happen w/o losing too much politically. I’m starting to see how difficult it can be, if one chooses not to just bulldoze the event through as we here want him to do.
