Of course they would offer that so-called compromise. Let’s consider an important difference between a wall and the high tech active measures of their “compromise.” The wall is just there. Once constructed it will basically continue to work, period. Drones and sensors and agents all need ongoing funding for maintenance, salaries, upkeep and operations. That funding can be quietly turned off or cut back for certain critical sections. In other words, they plan on turning on or continuing the flow of illegals shortly after their “compromise.”
the other day, a tour bus pulled up to the border and offloaded 80 or so individuals.
At a going rate of of $4,000 per family and $8K per single, that would be $320,000 minimum per busload in coyote fees - off one bus, during one hour, on one day, at one place on the border.
Show me a drone or sensor that can stop that. A wall can, tho.
This is the same kind of idiocy that led the Rats to believe in the 1990s that we could cut our intelligence personnel and use tech instead.
Then 9-11 happened.
BS for sure. Every where there is no fence, the illegals will will try to pass and evade the BP, Electronics and Drones. Sic. there will be more physical confrontations between illegals and BP agents, AND MORE INJURIES AND DEATHS on both sides! Case closed.
Not to mention that all it does is allow us to apprehend illegals, and delay them a few weeks while we log them in and then release them with a trial date a few years out.
It’s merely am entry counter system.
BS. Build the wall.

Ditto!
“Landmines are a very effective Technology.”
Oddly your post is most humanitarian.
Each year many hundreds of illegal aliens die in the deserts of the Southwest mostly due to lack of water. Many more hundreds of bodies lay undiscovered in the deserts each year.
A mine field will kill you. Only the insane will cross it, thus the deaths in our deserts due to illegal crossing would be minimal.
It is not pretty but statistically is humane.
ps
In in my youth I hunted the deserts of far West Texas in the summer. In three hours I would go through a liter of water and still be thirsty. Two days would kill me.
......Landmines are a very effective Technology......
Or perhaps lots of warning signs, entering land mine zone?
We ain't falling for THAT okeydoke no more.
Didn’t the DemonRats pass a bill for that in 2006?
And then refused to fund it.
Their science as in abortion science, climate science and other hoo-doo completely devoid of mathematics and physics.
Climatology is a fraud.
Wouldn’t it be faster to just register every person in Mexico and points south as democrat voters with prepaid absentee ballots today and get it over with? At that point a $500 monthly check to each one at their home mailing address will keep them from coming here.
Technology breaks, can be hacked into, gets glitches, and goes down. A physical wall is up all the time.
costs of that crap is higher than a wall
it does not stop people before they cross..
and worse..
a democrat president can switch it off.
I want a good old fashion wall/barrier
Yes let’s get some more cameras on drones or whatever to watch the invasion continue unabated.
Total BS eyewash from those who hate us and want us replaced.
No virtual walls. Bush already tried this ridiculous idea back around 2006 and the only reason the Democrats are pushing this nonsense is because they know it doesn’t work. A real, physical wall, made of steel and concrete, at least 30 feet high, manned and patrolled - that’s it.
Exactly, substantial sums to spread around in Silicon Valley and get kickbacks out of is the key to the democrat idea of "border security", not stopping the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs.
JMHo
Could Pelosi be attempting to payback San Jose technology mega campaign contributors with a technology-based wall versus a steel/cement based wall??
