The firm has now been linked to human trafficking in a new court filing in the case against now-shuttered prostitution publication Backpage.com

If the issue is human trafficking (and, indirectly, prostitution that comes from human trafficking), I knew the Clinton name somehow would be connected to it.

It isn’t clear from the filing what is going on. It looks like they may be trying to get money that the defendant had put in various law firm trust accounts. But usually trust accounts are designated as such in their names.

Akin Gump is another big democrat firm although most of the folks I’ve met from there have been pleasant to deal with. I’ve heard of a few of the others, but never had contact with them and don’t know their politics.
