Bill would bar border wall from state land (NM land office now in charge of radicals)

SANTA FE – A legislative proposal introduced Monday would prohibit New Mexico from providing state land for the construction of the border wall sought by President Trump.

The two-page bill would also prohibit the use of other state resources for construction of the wall, or any similar barrier, along the Mexican border.

State Rep. Angelica Rubio, a Las Cruces Democrat and sponsor of House Bill 287, said a wall would be expensive and interfere with the movement of wildlife – without actually improving public safety, as its supporters say it would.

“I think people who are trying to make decisions about our region should visit my home,” Rubio said. What supporters believe about the wall “is not true.”

Her proposal would affect about 22 miles of state land along New Mexico’s border with the Mexican states of Chihuahua and Sonora. Altogether, New Mexico shares about 160 miles of border with Mexico.

See the accompanying article on large migrant groups crossing the border in this area. It's really apparent that Rubio is lying about the border situation.

Just build barrier along the rest of the border and funnel all the illegals and drug runners into New Mexico border. See how fast they change their mind.

Let’s give New Mexico to Mexico.

Then put the border wall around the former New Mexico.

Send in Federal troops to put down this rebellion.

It was good enough for George Washington, it is good enough for DJT.

Or Trump could just declare the land to be a National Monument. That one worked great for Bubba and Barry.

Fine.

Build a 60 foot-high wall around New Mexico, except for at the border with Mexico ... No doors.

Shut down and tear up all interstate (federal) highways into the shit hole that is NM ...

Likewise do to all rail tracks.

Remove all Federal ATC personnel from their airports.

Close the airspace over NM.

Close all Federal Prisons, and release all inmates into NM population.

Then send every illegal alien there - including all the criminals and terrorists.

Then place military installations in close proximity - with orders to annihilate anything or anyone that attempts to leave.

If New Mexico wants to be an independent country, we can arrange that.

Or just build it around NM . Then tell Mexico they can have it for a bag of hockey pucks.

So how much extra would it cost to wrap it around NM?

As someone interested in wildlife conservation, there is validity to the argument. However, building part of the wall will only result in people being shuttled by the drug cartels to a different area for illegal crossing. This will actually endanger those who tried to block it. The best option is to build the wall in areas like this that allow wildlife to cross, but not illegals.

Then build the Wall north of New Mexico.

Cut ‘em loose.

I think New Mexico and California should do what they want. We will just build the wall around their states and require passports to come through any gate we might pit in for them

(NM land office now in charge of radicals)

Well, it's a relief to know that someone is taking on the radicals in New Mexico.

Oh, now I get it: the radicals are now in charge of the land office.

That's not good news.
