It's been a bad week for the mainstream press, first with the Michael Cohen hoax by BuzzFeed and now with the Covington Catholic fake news, where journalists claimed that Catholic students mocked a Native American. That turned out to be untrue. It's safe to say that the spectacle has ruined everyone's last remaining shred of hope that the media would stop being the Enemy of the People. Clearly, that is not going to happen. The bright spot on the horizon is that The Wrap is reporting that at least one of these terrible "journalists" has been fired:
Digital company INE Entertainment has fired a journalist who publicly wished for the death of several Covington Catholic High School students and their parents in a pair of tweets over the weekend. Aside from his job as a post-production supervisor at INE, Erik Abriss is a contributor to New York Media’s pop culture site Vulture. “We were surprised and upset to see the inflammatory and offensive rhetoric used on Erik Abriss’ Twitter account this weekend. He worked with the company in our post-production department and never as a writer,” the company said in a statement to TheWrap on Monday.
Abriss was one of the hundreds of adults on Twitter calling for the deaths of children for the crime of wearing MAGA hats and smiling in public. Lashing out on Twitter, Abriss expressed his deep wish that the children and their parents would die.
"I don’t know what it says about me but I’ve truly lost the ability to articulate the hysterical rage, nausea, and heartache this makes me feel," typed Abriss. "I just want these people to die. Simple as that. Every single one of them. And their parents.”

The laughometer is off the chart on this one. Has anyone noticed the twitter feeds of say, 90% of all journalists in the mainstream media, let alone the virulent leftie blogs?
They couldn’t be doing a much better job of shooting their own feet if they tried.

Once and for all conservatives need to realize that the MSM, including Fox, is not on your side. Republican politicians need to stop pretending like the press is some sort of hot house flower that needs respect and support. They need to be destroyed. Fake news? No, worse than that. Enemy of the people.

Kinda lets you know what they have in mind should they ever seize absolute control of our country doesn’t it! Wanting us to die will be replaced with killing us.

Liberals on another site refuse to believe their lyin’ eyes and ears and still think those kids need to apologize and then be punished for not moving away or removing their hats when the hate-filled activists engaged them.

You’re right that media isn’t on your side. But you seem to assume that GOP politicians are on your side. What makes you think that? Maybe you’re a billionaire donor?
There comes a time when one would say everyone needs to take a step back and ponder.
With the current media, they would need to take 5 or 10 steps back and ponder.
They are so agenda/narrative driven. They don’t even collect facts. They just take any ‘anonymous source’ made up story and run with it.
The media has become a joke. And the joke is on them.

For his vile reporting about the Vietnam War he should have been executed, along with the people in our government that got us into it in the first place. The thought that that $hit hole of a country became the “killing field” for 52,000 of our best ( including my cousin) should be cause enough to round up anyone who’s still alive who put us there, and hang them. In hindsight, we haven’t been involved in a war worth fighting since WWII. And I wished we had had Trump as our President when the Korean “conflict” started, because we wouldn’t have had 70 years and three Kims to deal with.
If you fire one another just takes their place. The MSM only hires radical liberals to do their “news” reporting.
Yet they still blame Nixon for the War initiated by JFK and kicked into high gear by General LBJ.
They are Mao’s Red Guards during the Cultural Revolution, only worse.
The President is correct, so be alert out there everybody.
