A great film. When I was young I thought every man in the U.S was either a John Wayne or a Clint Eastwood. Now half your population would probably vote for a chick with a dik or a bloke who has had the chop.
I have followed Rush since 1998 and I’ve been a lurker at FR as long as you’ve been around. And let me say, you’re nuts.
Rush would refer to the socialists, communists and America haters who took over the democrat party as democrats.

Rush has got part of it somewhat a bit wrong here.
It wasn’t as he claims, ‘these people are scared to death of the media and the first and only thing they care about is media approval’ - when the story first came out.
If the story were as it was actually first presented, “MAGA-hat kids mocking an old Indian vet for no reason”, they should rightly be denounced and shamed for doing such a thing. But, as it turned out if there’s a victim in the story, it’s the kids.
The mistake that people made was not in thinking such a thing (mocking an innocent vet) would be wrong, but in believing the media in any story that puts Trump/MAGA related things in bad light.
I’m hoping that they’ve all learned not to depend on the media for truth from now on. I’ve learned that about the only thing the media might get right half the time is the weather report.
How ironic that Rush should say this. I remember when HE didn’t understand what we were up against.

Some on the Right are in collusion with the Left to sabotage the Trump Presidency, the others are just cowards, so afraid of the Left that they will side with them at the slightest hint of controversy. Democrats are anti-American, GOP is anti-Conservative.
The GOP has run the biggest con on us..and Rush was suckered in also...

Reagan got both the pile on treatment from the , ahem very (self)important and so dignified establish GOPERS and then also was threatened in no uncertain terms that if he insisted on Laxalt for VP (another Reagan like undesirable for the ‘establishment’ GOPERS) then he would see most of the pledged financial support for his campaign would evaporate. Now this was back when the Establishment was barely able to choke down their disgust with RR and kept telling him how powerful an opponent Carter was and how unlikely his winning would be even with full party support. Reagan herd this monkey ca-ca day in and day out so he was intimidated into having a Benedict Arnold GOPER for VP. So in case he did win a ‘prudent and sensible’ establishment type could follow him into the WH to undo all the ‘damage’ the ‘ignorant cowboy’ had done. I am sure some of these people were briefly dizzy with glee when Reagan was shot hoping the ‘ignorant cowboy’ would be like Garfield or Harrison, a negligible figure in presidential history.

No one in the political ‘know’ listens to Rush anymore. His shtick got old in the late 90s
