The guy who fed he fake story to Buzzfeed was Jason Leopold, formerly of al Jazera and the wacko leftist site Truthout, the guy who once had the Democrats all Qued up for Fitzmas thinking Karl Rove was about to be indicted by Jams Comey’s dear friend Patrick Fitzgerald for a leak made by a Colin Powell aide.
The explosive story is the lie, not the Cohen story. Wtf

It was a fake story planted by Mueller and/or his team to show the incoming new AG that Mueller isn't the witchhunter that Trump claims and that he is an honest agent who came to his rescue.
Mueller is at least smart enough to quickly distance himself from a flighty journalist, who has been accused of plagiarism and lying before, and also was a drug addict.
He doesn’t say he believes the claim. But rather he is saying Mueller came out with the denial “to cover their asses because they don’t want a leak investigation.”
Why do you say that?
Yes, it was the calls for a leak investigation into the Mueller team that caused Mueller to come out.
Mueller is desperate to keep his witch hunt behind closed doors or we will all find out how corrupt and biased they have been.
It is a fake story, its just like all the other fake stories. Media works like this. Push blockbuster we got Trump now story on Thursday or Friday. Its debunked but media still creats doubt just like this WP article, then nonstop media coverage all weekend.
Why are so many hear ringing their hands over this. Same propaganda operation for 2 years.
Remeber this, Trump assumes Mueller knows everything Trump has said or done for the last ten years. Mueller knows Trump knows the truth. Every “we got Trump story” for 2 years has been debunked.

I thought perhaps that too. Thing is it would have to have been coordinated with white hats within the FBI or DOJ since BuzzedFeed clearly is not talking to someone in the Whitehouse. Trump Org maybe?
I think Trump’s intelligent gathering is second to none. He found out about Pelosi’s trip at the last moment. He busted her.
I suspect you might be right. He got wind that Cohen was going to come out with this crazy new story to save his butt. Trump beat him to the punch by leaking it.
The black eye etc. could be domestic. Who is the young lady walking with him with a cane?
I have no idea who the woman is. I do hope he’s enjoying his time with her though. He’ll be a drag queen by the time his sentence is over.
There might be no legal exposure on the basis of leaking classified or confidential information, but there would be for a civil suit for defamation. The fact that Trump is a public figure would not shield them from liability since they would knowingly be distributing false information designed to damage his reputation, and even lead to legal and/or political action such as impeachment. Whether Trump would file such a suit, or be able to find an impartial jury, is another matter.
