If they refuse President Trump's offer of compromise their highly emotionally-charged base will hate them for turning their backs on the "Dreamers" (i.e., illegal aliens though they are).
If they take the offer their whacked-out base will hate them -- probably even moreso -- for giving President Trump a b-i-g victory.

Rush said on his radio on Wednesday or Thursday, I believe he said Trump has to hang in there for a couple of more weeks and then he’s got them! CHECKMATE!! Has to do something with some article about federal employees blah blah blah can be laid off permanently after 30 days or 60 days after a government shut down something to that effect! Rush was very giddy so it must be good! Hang in there President Trump hang in there baby!
