The default attitude toward any information from the national media is to assume it’s false unless corroborated by more trusted sources. Sad.
“Hoax” is spelled with any of several combinations of three letters, as in “CNN”, “ABC”, “CBS”, “NBC”, “FOX” (sometimes), “NYT”, “LAT” etc, and occasionally with four letters (hat tip to Slow Joe Biden), as in “MSNBC”.
