... Amid Ginsburg Health Woes.

... Sen Graham told "Fox News Sunday" that he is "hell-bent" on ensuring that the next Supreme Court vacancy -- whether it is ailing Justice Ginsburg's seat or otherwise -- is filled by a conservative, regardless of what outrage follows from the left.

Graham, the new chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee,... "My Democratic colleagues felt when they were in charge we should confirm judges by a majority vote," ... "They changed the rules to accommodate President Obama. They tried to stack the court. They never thought Clinton would lose. So what you’re gonna have is Harry Reid’s and Chuck Schumer’s desire to stack the court on their Democratic watch has come back to haunt them." [snip]

"Every Democrat that I've worked with for about 10 years now has agreed to funding for barriers/walls ... and all of a sudden it's a bad thing on Trump's watch," ... "What's [Trump] supposed to do, just give in? He's not gonna give in."

Graham concluded with his own possible last-minute fix to the partial federal government shutdown, ...

"I would urge him to open up the government for a short period of time, like three weeks, before he pulls the plug," Graham said. "See if we can get a deal. If we can’t at the end of three weeks, all bets are off. See if he can do it by himself through the emergency powers. That’s my recommendation. But I think the legislative path is just about shut off because Nancy Pelosi said ‘Even if you open up the government, I’ll give you one dollar for the wall.’ As long as that’s the case, we’re never gonna get a legislative package, no matter what the Senate does."

Love Lindsay, ... these days.

"Hell bent"is the perfect stance for the President's appointment of a Constitutionalist to SCOTUS.

"Hell bent" is the best stance for border security and the protection of America.

Great because I heard him referred to as a moderate.

Linda wants to cave. This is a battle to see who has the brass ones. President Trump will win.

No such thing as a conservative.

Trump, Cruz, Lee, Graham (now), and many others are moderates.

All the others (Romeny, Shoe-mer, AOC, Pelousy), repubs and ‘Rats, are leftist clowns, socialists, communists.

You’ve got a bad case of libertarian disease.

To be exact: Ronald Reagan famously said, "The person who agrees with you 80 percent of the time is a friend and an ally - not a 20 percent traitor."

The standard libertarian position is that the person who agrees with you 99 percent of the time is a 100 percent traitor."

So long as it happens before grahams next election we're probably safe.

I may support his current position but I will never trust him. Too much history there.

Linda needs to sit down and shut up for a while. I would rather not see him project all this nonsense before hand.

Graham’s full statement is contradictory. So he likely just throwing it out there to demonstrate how willing potus is to be flexible and negotiate.

Pelosi has mockingly stated that she will give $1 if the government is reopened. She should be taken at her word and government closure should continue.

Very apt & so often lost sight of. We work first on essential common goals & then argue over the 20%.

a bad case of libertarian disease.

Not really, just a moment of frustration from all fronts.

Here in MA, behind enemy lines. We are getting a new MA GOP chair this Thursday, and the guy likely to win is a status-quo dem-lite, so venting in any direction available this morning.

Gotta check with LG hour by hour and topic by topic to determine your love. E.g., he’s still trying to slip in various forms of “comprehensive” (wink, wink) immigration reform. For whatever reason no longer an overt McCain, but what exactly he is is impossible to know.

One has to open up first. If a seat doesn’t become open in 2019 then Graham will have to wait until 2021.

She may have talked about $1 for the wall mockingly... however, Brian Kolfage tried to actually collect $1 in-person from her office, and was refused even that.

Quoting Lindsey Graham who replaced Chuck Grassley as chairman of the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee:
"They never thought Hillary would lose. So Democrats changed the rules to accommodate then-Pres Obama's wishes
to stack the court in their favor. Harry Reid’s and Chuck Schumer’s rule change has come back to haunt them." [snip]

I like it.

Linda would make a good SCOTUS. Confirmation would be fun. As for the Senate seat the ragged would be waiting in the wings.

Graham is a good soldier, and a great Trump fan. He finally could see that Sessions didn’t come thru. Sessions was a huge disappointment.

I think this assures Trump will choose a conservative judge.
