Despite a partial government shutdown with no end in sight, about 30 Democratic members of Congress traveled to Puerto Rico this weekend -- with their families and lobbyists -- for a winter retreat where they also planned to see a special performance of the hit Broadway show “Hamilton.”
Those attending the Congressional Hispanic Caucus BOLD PAC gathering in San Juan also planned to meet Saturday with Puerto Rican officials to discuss ongoing cleanup efforts from Hurricane Maria, according to a report.
“This year’s winter retreat promises to be our most widely attended yet with over 220 guests, including 39 Members of Congress and CHC BOLD PAC supporters expected to attend and participate!” a planning memo said.

My sons have some Puerto Rican children in their classes. The students relocated after the hurricane in 2017. Their English is not the best. There are also a lot of Honduran, Guatemalan, Mexican, Cuban, and Columbian students. In Alabama. Sweet kids. Not enough ESL teachers to go around. I think there are less than a dozen Russians in the whole school system. But the Spanish speakers seem to be at least 20% or more. In small town Alabama.
Well there is their safety and security to be concerned with. Think they have armed security nearby?
Well it ain’t like they are doing anything good for the country anyway.

The meeting is what probably allows the entire trip to be taxpayer funded. Five star hotels? Maybe the politicos and their families paid for their theater tickets.
Basically they are all marie antoinette.

Freeze their passport & don’t let them back INTO the USA......
The President should call for an emergency session of con-gre$$ and force these clowns back to DC to get this resolved. Otherwise, all of their furloughed rats can go find a real job to which many will have to compete with the beloved illegals.

‘They’ can hide who is paying for it and if ‘THEY’ are paying for it, a jr CPA/Acct/H&RBLOCK trainee could see who ISN’T paying for it ....
WATCH THEM CLAIM IT ON THEIR TAXES/EXPENSE ACCOUNTS though.
