What what I can see, the one is there now is no different from the OLD AG, and Barr, from all accounts, is a swamp creature from whom we can expect absolutely nothing.

I love President Trump - but he’s batting exactly ZERO with his appointments to the Justice Department.

Short answer: NO!

New AG will have to recuse himself, too. Best buddies with Mueller and wives are in bible studies together. Surprised the church doesn’t come crashing down on their heads.

Two ways out of this coup - President Trump can declassify ALL the documents and let the chips fall where they may OR We the people take care of it.

Time will tell about Barr.

“Will the new AG do anything?”

The the Left will be brought to justice for their attempted soft coup against the President, but it won’t come in the form of lengthy jail sentences or hangings, as many here are demanding.

These crimes took place in the political realm and the punishment will have to be political. As frustrating as it may be, Trump’s executive branch agencies, where all federal law enforcement functions reside, will have to stand down. Basically one giant recusal.

By far the most fitting and enduring punishment for this politically motivated abuse of power that Obama and his minions have undertaken will not be meted out by federal law enforcement - it will be meted out by we the people.

Sure, Trump could seek to rebuild his FBI, DOJ, etc. with loyalists and direct them to prosecute the Obama coconspirators but doing so quickly becomes problematic:

Like it or not, the President is the head of the Republcan Party, and his executive branch is rightly viewed by the people as a Republican administration. Any support the President received from congressional oversight committees in this endeavor would come almost exclusively from Republicans, and would be opposed by Democrats.

Opinion polls would be splashed daily across the MSM screens and front pages showing registered Republicans supported what the DOJ was doing, while Democrats saw it as another political witch hunt. Even if Trump managed to put some of the culprits in jail, they would become martyrs over night and get full pardons as soon as the Democrats regained power. As for hangings, it’s silly to even talk about it - it would never happen and if it did it would be the end of the Republican Party.

Now, let’s talk about the alternative form of justice - the one President Trump is actually pursuing.

The President is making his case before the people, and challenging the Left to a war of words and ideas. Every day, he finds opportunities to expose their lies and call Obama’s coconspirators out for their crimes. Every day he passes up opportunities to weaponize his DOJ and FBI to fight his battles for him. Why?

The important thing to realize is that he is CHOOSING to do it this way - it’s not a matter of the deep state being too powerful and blocking his actions - he decided long ago that he wants to fight this battle in the political arena - NOT via federal law enforcement, not his AG, not his FBI..

He is going to win this where it counts - in the hearts and minds of we the people.

Ask yourself this - if you had to choose one or the other, which would be a better outcome:

A) Obama, Clinton and a bunch of other coconspirators go to jail - the American people have a mixed reaction along party lines - half are thrilled, half are furious. Republicans, under Trump’s leadership gain new respect for their willingness to fight back and use all of the power of the federal government at their disposal - but the American people fear both parties have lost their moral compass.

or B) The President forgoes the whole weaponized DOJ approach and instead continues to expose the Left, set them up to look like childish fools, like Acosta, time after time, until the political correctness fog lifts, and the American people get to see the truth about how low the Left has sunk, how depraved has been the behavior of the DNC, the Obama administration, the Clinton Foundation, the bought and paid for MSM... The American people finally see the corruption - and are horrified. The Democrat party never wins another election for a generation.

Now that’s an outcome I’d like to see. I think that’s what President Trump is shooting for - not jail time - but political banishment.

Don’t get me wrong - I’m mad enough that I’d really like to see the public hangings - I just think it would be a very short-lived victory, whereas the President’s course is going to reshape politics for generations.
