Drs have been asking about all kinds of subjects. They also ask kids at school about their home life. I object to giving out any information not applicable.
They are becoming dangerous to our freedoms.
I know the AMA is in the tank, but when are doctors going to stand up en masse and say, “That’s ENOUGH! We’re tired of the government telling us how to practice medicine!” They’ve almost all caved in the opioid prescription and benzodiazepine prescription restrictions, because they’ve been threatened they’d lose their licenses and/or their Medicare/Medicaid/insurance participation. All of the above, btw, a part of obamacare’s progressively tighter controls, which also include decreasing coverage related to old age. Obamacare is a vicious Hydra, which MUST be completely overturned ASAP. Obama -— “ There are no death panels! Nobody’s going to stop providing care because of your age! “ Lying sack of excrement!

I’ve been asked. I just say no. Acting indignant is a probable yes to anyone you confront.
I don’t own any firearms. My intention is to pass on some interesting and useful things to my kids. So I self identity as a custodian, not really an owner.
This is as close as my doctor can get to the real question, but if they do ask it, the answer is always going to be No.
I have no problem lying in this circumstance. It is a non factor in my healthcare. None of their business.
Which they will put down as a Yes.
I train my grandchildren to, upon being asked about guns in the home to reply, “That’s none of my business.” That way they are neither lying nor disrespecting their elders.
Any other answer is construed as yes.

I too, often type “and” for “an”. It’s ususally not a problem but when you have to find all of them among 80,000 words it becomes a chore.

'Are there guns in your household?' has become a standard question on our doctors' forms (you know, the ones you have to fill out over and over again) for the past two years or so here in The People's Republik of Connecticut.
I always leave the answer blank or choose "Prefer not to reply".
That they apparently *demand* an answer to this question here in the United States of America is disgusting to me. It's none of their damn business!

Was at my doctors today(New Jersey). I’m lucky he even asked how I was. So what do they expect a bunch of harried, often over worked doctors to do about someone who legally owns a gun? “Ah, Marie, put Mrs. Smith in for an MRI in two weeks and then call the cops. The last patient said he owns a firearm.’’
