They could try passing actual budgets instead of infinite continuing resolutions.

We will never have a budget again. Obama never had a budget in eight years.

Same mentality that led to the Corker Capitulation on Iran. Duck responsibility. Avoid hard choices.

The bus is racing over a cliff and they throw on cruise control and party in the back.

Great, a**holes. Pass a bill to automate the work you’re supposed to do so you’ll have more time to bash Trump.

How about passing a bill that says if you don’t want to do your job, you can return to your home without a paycheck.

Worthless bastards...

Ok. No voice votes.
Let them all vote ON RECORD.
And let’s see who’s who.

Great they can just keep on spending like drunken sailors—without taking any responsibility for it.

GOP senators introduce bill to permanently end government shutdowns

It is important to "Republicans" (spit) that the Deep Swamp be made immortal so that it can NEVER be stopped from growing, reduced, or controlled.

That’s crazy. Get rid of the 60 senator rule so the majority is never blocked.

And a president would sign this bill? Why?

Won’t get 2/3rds anywhere to override.

WHY IN THE HELL WOULD THE GOP DO THIS?!?

How about we go back to writing and passing Constitutionally required BUDGETS, which would then stop the need for all of these stupid, wasteful CRs!!

I would be OK with this under one condition:

With each continuing resolution that gets automatically passed this way, every line item in the Federal budget is reduced by 5% from the previous year.

Without such a stipulation in place, we might as well pass this bill and then eliminate Congress entirely.

I can't imagine a state-appointed Senate doing this. Nor can I imagine a state-appointed Senate blocking wall funding to deny a President a political win.

It’s a work-around and an escape from Congress doing it’s job, and it is being offered by GOP Senators, some of whom will vote whichever way the wind blows just to “go along to get along” - meaning they represent nothing and no one, just their incumbency.

The title of the referenced article can be construed to mean that GOP bill mandates full fed compliance with its very few constitutionally enumerated, Section 8-compliant domestic policy powers — basically to deliver the mail (1.8.7).

BWWWAAAAAAAAHHHHAAAAAAA!

The states need to permanently constitutionally end fed government shutdowns by repealing the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments yesterday.

Remember in November 2020!
