A school resource officer in Warren, Ohio, was removed from school premises after issuing a parking ticket for the school principal after she repeatedly parked in a handicap zone, according to multiple media reports.

According to Michael Currington, a representative for the city of Warren's police union, Google Earth shows clearly the reason for what started with a warning and ended with controversy.
"The resource officer had given a number of verbal warnings over a period of time to the principal of the facility to not park in a handicap designated area," said city law director Greg Hicks.
But Hicks says the principal at Jefferson Elementary defied officer Adam Chinchic's warning, and on Tuesday, parked there again.
When Chinchic issued her a ticket, she contacted school administration officials, who had security escort Chinchic from the premises.
Currington says that Google Earth image shows the principal's car parked between two handicapped spaces; an area for elevators on handicap-accessible vehicles.
Ohio Revised Code indicates that hatched area is still off limits for parking.
Currington says the principal believed she was in the right, but many officials including Hicks disagree.
"If the principal thinks she can park wherever she wishes, what signal does that give to the kids? Whenever you reach a certain status in life, you don't have to follow the rules anymore," Currington said.

The local media this morning (Greater Cleveland area) had it on TV but didn't mention her name.

Why do they call him a “resource”officer?
That picture is a blood boiler, empty parking lot and she parks in the wheelchair loading zone. Not just entitled or arrogant, she is also ignorant. Wow.
Actually, I’d favor getting two someones, one to park on either side. Then leave both vehicles there. For hours.
A lot of people don’t realize what those spaces are there for. A few years ago I worked with a lady who was wheelchair bound. She had a specially equipped van that allowed her to drive herself around. The side door of the van was equipped with a ramp that was her only access into and out of her vehicle. If someone parked in the striped area or parked too close on that side, she could not get back into her vehicle. A single parking space is NOT wide enough to accommodate the ramp.
Even if the spaces in the school parking lot aren’t used regularly, they should be left open and available.
Interestingly, the three principals’ email addresses have been removed; the website says that they were updated today.
The superintendent doesn’t have a posted email either. His assistant does.
I couldn’t access the board members’ emails due to issues with my own email.
There are 40 or so comments on the news website. Not one single one supports the principal and most are pretty scathing.
