Met an acquaintance of a relative a few weeks ago. The guy has an 8 year old daughter by first wife, and they divorced about 4 years ago. Then, he “fell in love” with a gal who was pregnant when he met her, and married her too quickly. He legally adopted the child. Then she divorced him right after he signed the adoption papers. So now has child support for another 16 years, and suspects that was her plan all along.
Well... At least they know who their mom is.
I do bit of amateur genealogy and it’s the women who are more pertinent... If you think you know who your great great great granddaddy is... forget it, but if you know your mom and her mom and her mom before her, etc... Well, then your know where you came from.

I had a PhD psychologist friend of mine become increasingly bitter after an ugly divorce. He believed most women were sexual opportunists, and not to be trusted. I found that viewpoint very difficult to accept, and chalked it up to his circumstances. He died soon afterward of lung cancer.
I remember his words well however, and stories like this rekindle those memories.

But in the vid I got the feeling it was muuuuch more obvious than that, like maybe Moishe or Schlomo, which are the “real” versions of those same names.
