Democrats Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi held a press conference on Wednesday shortly after meeting with President Trump at the White House again over the border security disputes that have caused the government shutdown. They described Trump as off putting and unreasonable, completely unwilling to make a deal. He was having a "temper tantrum," according to the Democrats.
"He couldn't get his way and he just walked out of the meeting," Schumer recalled.
GOP Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy helped lead a press conference shortly afterward, attempting to "clarify" just about everything the Democrats said. Standing beside Vice President Mike Pence, McCarthy gave his side of the story. Trump welcomed the Democrats into the room, he said, and asked them to present their deal to him. The president even brought candy, McCarthy quipped.

The way the Democrats falsely framed the meeting was "disturbing," and their behavior is "embarrassing," McCarthy said. Where Schumer continued to "raise his voice," Trump was "polite" and "respectful." While Trump was offering solutions, the Democrats just "want to just argue."

The president offered his take on the meeting too. Almost as soon as they stepped in the room, Pelosi and Schumer were being unreasonable, so he said "bye-bye!"

To prevent future misleading narratives, McCarthy suggested they invite cameras to their next meetings.
The government shutdown is now in its 19th day. While critics are infuriated that Trump is proudly sticking to his guns over the border wall, his supporters are proud of him for demanding border security and fulfilling a campaign promise.
That burned the Dems badly last time. Might as well propose a sit-down with Dracula in a garlic patch.

I agree. This shows how small a man Ryan is and has always been. I’m glad to see Republicans take to the national podium to defend and promote President Trump’s agenda.
Cameras are the answer to this impasse.
Why do they do these stupid meetings behind closed doors, out of the public view? Are they afraid we can’t stomach the ‘sausage making’?
Or, more likely, do they just not want their constituents just how infantile, intractable, and swampy they truly are?

If Chuck and Nancy had no intention of negotiating, why did they attend the meeting?
Probably so that they could falsely accuse Trump afterwards as having had “a temper-tantrum” and being unreasonable.
Trump should not have anything to do with Chuck and Nancy until they indicate publicly that they are prepared to negotiate.
There’s a perfectly descriptive word for anyone who believes any of the DIMocRATS “leadership” upon any subject: STUPID.

The two ghouls have failed miserably, and are now revealing their true ichor to America. They value personal power over the very constituents they purport to represent.
The MSM can talk them up to the nines, but America smells their vile stench, and it will not go well for either of them.

Congress promised US border security in 1986, instead we got 20 million more illegal aliens.
Then they promised US border security again in 2006 when we melted the phones in DC when they tried for amnesty, instead we got another 10 million illegal aliens.
30 million is too many already, no more.

The people who are affected are going to be pushing someone to fix this, and it won’t be Trump. And when their beloved liberal government union employees start pushing, guess who’s going to cave?

I’m pleasantly surprised at how McCarthy responded.
Just a one tablet of those health food store over the counter steroids in his coat pocket would zoom him beyond anything Ryan could muster.
