Two Obama-era officials were instrumental in the false flag operation in Alabama ahead of the special election in 2017, reports show. One of the Obama-era officials behind the misinformation campaign in Alabama finally opened up about his groups role in the caper. Two of the people involved in the social media misinformation campaign in Alabama are denying their roles in the operation, reports indicate.
A trove of reports show two Obama-era officials are partially responsible for a misinformation campaign designed to derail Republican Roy Moores senatorial campaign in Alabama. Former President Barack Obama campaign organizer, Mikey Dickerson, was instrumental in a disinformation campaign targeting Moore, reports show. He was not alone. Evan Coren, who has worked for the National Archives unit since Obamas first term, also targeted the Republicans campaign.
Coren, for his part, is a progressive activist who handles classified documents for the Department of Energy. He has not responded to The Daily Caller News Foundations request for comment about the nature of the campaign, which was designed to fool conservatives into believing Moore intended to reimpose prohibition.
Coren and other operatives created a Dry Alabama Facebook page with a blunt message attached: Alcohol is evil and should be prohibited, The New York Times reported Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter. The page included images of car wrecks and ruined families, the report notes. Its contents were targeted at business conservatives who are inclined to oppose prohibition.
Two wealthy Virginia donors who wanted to defeat Moore funded the project, according to a person who worked on the project and who spoke on condition of anonymity. The Dry Alabama project was one of two $100,000 campaigns designed to help Moores Democratic opponent, Doug Jones, who barely won the 2017 special election.
Jones previously stated his campaign was unaware of the project and is also calling for an investigation into who is behind the antics. Political analysts believe allegations that Moore sexually assaulted underage women three decades earlier likely played a larger part in his loss. Corens false flag operation happened alongside a similar campaign by Dickerson, a former Obama official known for fixing the governments notoriously glitchy Obamacare website.
Operatives with New Knowledge, a group affiliated with Dickerson, created thousands of Twitter accounts posing as Russian bots to boost the election-year chances of Jones the accounts began following Moores Twitter account in October 2017. The project created a slew of Facebook accounts as well that were designed to troll conservatives into opposing Moore.
But the misinformation project attracted attention from local and national media, falsely suggesting Russia was backing Moores candidacy. The Montgomery Advertiser, for one, was the first to cover the story using the Russian-bot angle. National media outlets quickly followed suit. Roy Moore flooded with fake Russian Twitter followers, read the headline on a New York Post story, which cited the Advertiser. WaPo focused its reporting on the fact that Moore blamed Democrats for the fake accounts. Other major national outlets picked up on the story shortly thereafter, with many pundits mocking Moore for blaming Democratic operatives.
The cost of the effort, which was funded by liberal billionaire Reid Hoffman, totaled $100,000 the identical amount Facebook says the Russian Internet Research Agency spent trolling people on social media leading up to the 2016 presidential election. Dickerson, who has not responded to TheDCNFs repeated requests for comment about the campaign, finally responded to reporters Monday.
I received the report in early 2018, which is when I first learned about the false flag and write-in tactics, Dickerson said in a press statement, referring to a 12-page report from New Knowledge detailing crucial elements of the project.
Jonathon Morgan, head of New Knowledge, denies knowledge of most of the activities described in the Project Birmingham document. He also denies Dickersons claim that New Knowledge authored the report.
The only False Flag in Alabama was that False Flag the Crimson Tide dragged out on the field last night.
They will be hailed as heroes.
New York’s third senator was elected by a very narrow margin, undoubtedly due to this disinformation campaign. Where is our special prosecutor? Why is this stolen election not being pursued at the Alabama state level?
The Kenyanesian Usurper’s minions are responsible for everything they blamed on the Russians.
The Dems are the party of crooks....should we even be surprised? The GOP will sit back and do nothing. They will talk about it, then do nothing.
Bush League Republicans went along with the Kenyanesian Usurpation, they can’t object to any of the crimes committed thereafter.
2017 Alabama Campaign Used Russian-inspired Disinformation Tactics; Stirs Anxiety for Democrats
The Washington Post ^ | January 6, 2019 / FR Posted by riverdawg
A secret effort to influence the 2017 Ala Senate election used tactics inspired by Russian disinformation teams, including the creation of fake
accounts to deliver misleading messages on Facebook to hundreds of thousands of voters that helped elect Democrat Doug Jones in the deeply red state by a hair-thin margin, according to a document obtained by The W/P. (Excerpt) Read more at washingtonpost.com ...
Now if Moore or his supporters have evidence that Facebook refused their messages in his favor.....that could make an interesting case.
Hillary used a similar trick: she mfg falsified dirt about Donaldleaking it to the obedient MSM that ran with it.
Hillary would then triumphantly wave around the news reports to show that she was the superior candidate.
The Democrats have four ways to win elections. Character assassination is number two on their list.
This is merely the Rats tuning up their techniques to steal the 2020 elections.
The dems think people are stupid. Well, them too. But an awful lot of people in this country are a lot stupider.
Me too, I suppose. But I sure don’t rely on media in telling me who to vote for.
The GOP will sit back and do nothing? In cases like those described in the article, who is responsible for pursuing the criminals? It is the Department of Justice on the federal level, and State legal officers at the State level. Both have been corrupted by the Democrat Party. If the legal system does not work (everything up to the Supreme Court), then we all are captives of a banana republic. It is not something the Republican Party can reverse overnight. The election of Donald Trump, and, perhaps, the creation of a new political party, or at least the Trump-Republican Party, can help reverse this, but it will take time.
You mean when the deep state and their activists were too simple-minded to understand that not only is getting caught a result of lower IQ, but that merely making the decision to cheat in the United States Senate special election in Alabama in 2017 was measurably stupid?
Successfully navigating social media as a conservative candidate without becoming a target with a capital T seems to be related to your own potential for making progressive Democrats, Socialists, and Communists look bad.
Should I or shouldn’t I be sounding off on social media. Bottom line appears to be if you have the stones of the President, go all in. Otherwise danger lurks depending on the size of your constituent base.
Fake senator. If he had been a Republican, the cry for his resignation would have been unending.
The”representative government” we are entitled to has now surpassed the Mafia in corruption, the cartels in crime and al Queada in attempting the destruction of the country.
While this is mildly amusing, you are dismissive of the facts in this article without disproving them. You seem somewhat left-of-center.
Roy Moore was a perv.
My initial thought was, there is a barb thrown from left field.
Your class of 98 while not definitive, warrants a question.
You got facts to back up that barb from left field, or was there a /s I missed?
Sorry but one way or the other they do, you know what they allow you to know. Very few people have any true knowledge of their politicians.
They are like pedophiles that manage to hide their true nature from all but fellow travelers.
