Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin used to give credit to Satan and Aleister Crowley for his success, so this is par for the course for British celebrities.
CB was known for playing Batman. Hollywood sure suckers us in, don’t they. You can’t even trust a superhero anymore.
They believe Harvey Weinstein is God.
He will have the chance to explain that comment some day in front of the throne.
I saw the movie this past weekend. I knew it would be liberal, but a story of Cheney’s life interested me. The theatre was surprisingly full and I think most in my area are fairly conservative. I’ll tell you my takeaway.
As much as they tried to portray Cheney as evil, I personally think for a conservative viewer they achieved the opposite.
There is a scene where VP Cheney has two generals in his office whining they are concerned about the audits of Halliburton and sole source contracts in Iraq. Cheney states he is not concerned, next issue (he is fighting a war after all). I had to smile. His priorities were correct. Didn’t these generals have more important things to report on?
And that was how most controversial issues were handled, some whiner complaining about a liberal issue that rightly was not a priority when we were at war.
Throw in some self deprecating humor on the part of the portrayals of GW and others, and I walked away grateful that adults like Cheney and Don Rumsfield were around at that place and time.
Now how much was fiction versus truth? The movie states up front that they are filling in a lot of blanks with their ‘best guess’. But despite being portrayed with an evil slant, Cheney is also portrayed as having no regrets and that’s kinda how I feel about the calls he had to make post 911 as well. Like how I feel about Trump brushing aside climate change garbage when we are being invaded at the southern border.
Another thing about Cheney, he cleaned up his drinking act very early in life and has lived an honorable family life with his wife and daughters.
I know it’s only acting, but I’ve wondered about Christian Bale ever since I saw him in a preview of the movie American Psycho back in 2000.
That scene with him dressed in a white tuxedo, swinging a bloody ax put me off of seeing the film.
He seemed a little too happy making everything good and bloody. Not the film for me.
Of course, I refused to see any of the SAW movies too.
How?
And Cheney didn't have a kind of charisma?
He sort of did, but charisma alone doesn't have much to do with how we judge people.
FWIW, Bale's father was married to Gloria Steinem for a while.
Bottom line, his loyalty is to the CFR and globalism. Screw Chaney hes unAmerican. The world is far worse off because of him.
Baleful Anti-Christian.
great way to ruin you fan base there a-hole.
