During my past visits there, I named the “homeless” as “human pigeons” — Always underfoot, begging for handouts, and crapping everywhere.

I’m not planning on returning anytime soon.

"..And soon white hipsters were outraged at Chief Outlaw’s contemptuous dismissal of Antifa as schoolyard brats who, “come with the intention to fight. And then you get mad because I kicked your butt. And then you go back and you wail off and whine and complain..”

Exactly! The good folk of the west coast need to move to the Midwest. We need them here...and it is safe (for now)

A whooping resounding NO WAY IN HECK. No - we most certainly do not! Stay there an fight for changes - they will just bring the same practices and liberal socialist virtue signaling beliefs here making the Midwest a hellhole as well. Stay in Oregon!

The first few episodes are pretty funny...

Instead in a city overrun with crime, they’re increasingly taking matters and guns into their hands.

In this great Republic, the duty of keeping the peace originates with We the People. If our uniformed servants can't or won't do the job they were hired to do, it reverts back to us.

Portland is now consistently #2 on the top trafficked police scanners on the Scanner Pro app. Chicago is #1.

In 2011, a comedy show “Portlandia” debuted. It made fun of Portland's quirky weirdness.

The show ended last season. The creators said Portland wasn't funny any more.

My 74 year old sister and husband live in Portland.

About a year ago, a city employee knocked on their front door. Because they live in what used to be county (and is now city), they have a larger than typical city lot. The employee explained that their larger lot is perfect for a tiny home for vagrants, excuse me, homeless. He said she should share some of her bounty (his word) for having such a large lot. He also said their property is perfect for a neighborhood garden, based on his survey of the lot (yup. He peeked over her fence)

The city would build the tiny house. If my sister would allow vagrants to live there for 3 years rent free, the city would gift her the tiny house.

She asked him a few saliant questions - who manages the crime and litter that comes from the vagrant “community” that comes from these tiny houses?

She is liable and responsible, he said. But that is fair trade off for a free tiny house.

So she asked if her property taxes would go up as she now had an additional structure on her property. Yes, but minimally, the employee replied.

So after 5 seconds of thought, she told the employee to get the Hell off her property!!

That’s Portland, folks!

Well what the city employee was giving to her was an offer, a suggestion if you will, not (yet) confiscation.

I wonder when a new law will pass making his offer COMPULSORY...

Exactly right! The Midwest already has dingbats running Illinois, Minnesota and soon Wisconsin. No need for transplanted SJW's messing with the Midwest any further.
