to protect his drug operation.

So it was a victimless crime? Sure, there were the sledgehammered and dismembered bodies, but as we are frequently told, drugs are a victimless crime.

Separation not desperation. Damned spell check. If more morons could actually spell we wouldn’t be hassled by it

Yes it does. Someone that’s been up 4 or 5 days doing speed, drinking huge amounts of booze, smoking pot, etc., will try to whack someone just for the cornbread hell of it. They do incomprehensible things (to us) that make perfect sense to them. Meth is horrific. It’s a living death.

He had something in his cell he could hang himself with? Where were the correctional officers?

I mean with his history wouldn’t you think they’d be watching him kinda closely and give him access to something he could hang himself with?

Each death row cell should have a hangman’s noose and stool in each one

Makes a helluva a lot more sense than EVER placing them on "suicide watch".

The perpetual delays almost drove Gary Gilmore to suicide. An argument is convincingly put forth that the jerking around convicts on death row are subjected to is cruel and unusual. Death sentences need to be swift and certain to be just.

All the money and time a .30-06 round would have saved.

Yep! If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, again!

Saving the taxpayers a lot of execution money that can be used on the next psycho-killer (or politician - I was thinking that Harry Reid would be a good candidate - corrupt and a traitor - that qualifies for some “juice”).
