Judge: Mumia Abu-Jamal can reargue appeal in 1981 Philly police slaying

A Philadelphia judge has reinstated appeal rights to Mumia Abu-Jamal — convicted of killing a city police officer more than 30 years ago — who has long maintained his innocence as his case gained international attention.

Lawyers for Abu-Jamal praised the decision by Philadelphia Common Pleas Judge Leon Tucker as a major step toward winning the former Black Panther’s freedom.

“This is an unheard of legal victory,” said Rachel Wolkenstein, former lawyer and longtime activist for Abu-Jamal. “This is the best opportunity we have had for Mumia’s freedom in decades.”

"... if you are black and convert to Islam then apparently the left thinks you are innocent."

They will even give you a job as an NPR show host so the taxpayers can fund your hateful crap going out on the airwaves.

A Black Panther. Well, duh, of course the poor guy is innocent. I mean, we’re supposed to make allowances for them, right?

I cannot believe that anyone so mentally deficient could rise to be a judge. This man, Mumia, Wesley Cook, has had appeals already. What is the reason for this judge to grand another one? He shot a man and when the man was down, shot him again in the face, killing him. He had the police officer’s bullet in his gut so he could not run when other police arrived. His gun was proven to be the one that shot officer Faulkner. Why is he being given another chance to make a joke out of the legal system? Because he is black and the judge is black? That is not a valid reason. What other reason could there possibly be? Let the judge tell us.

Seth Williams is now in prison. Mumia has been supported by MOVE and all the money they extorted.

His brother was made aware that the penalty for perjury in a capital trial is life in prison.

He could lie on the stand and possibly spend the rest of his life in prison, tell the truth and damn his brother or just STFU.

No one truthfully can.

There is absolutely no doubt as to his guilt.

The facts of the case, at least as reported by the media, would lead me to convict if I were on the jury.
