“Give Pence a cabinet post as a consolation prize.”

Good choice; he can’t do as much sabotage of Trump in a cabinet position as he could in Senate or House. Maybe even an ambassadorship. I just always have a hinky feeling about him ... swamp? Maybe I’m wrong; he’s been on the up-and-up so far, I guess.

Maybe I’m wrong

You might be.

Pence can be dopey, lackluster and go-along-to-get-along, but I've never once sensed a nanogram of malice or threat from the guy. He seems like he actually has good character.

If it's all a long-standing impeccably manufactured act, he's much smarter than he looks and maybe *I'm* wrong.

From day one Pence has been a half-step from turning against Trump. He is swampy. Definitely not trustworthy.

Although he’s on the Trump train, he comes across as sort of a conductor quietly punching tickets.
