The US is planning a total withdrawal of its military forces from Syria... “We have defeated ISIS in Syria, my only reason for being there during the Trump Presidency,” the president tweeted Wednesday morning.

Isis pulled out of Syria first. They’re on our southern border, and in Detroit now.

The US had a great deal to do with defeating Isis in Iraq... But not Syria"

Re-read my post - the US Coalition is what cleared ISIS from the yellow areas of Syria on this map, captured their Capital of Raqqa, and inflicted over 90% of ISIS casualties in Syria.

The regime fought ISIS in a few areas like the central desert (Palmyra), and along the road from Aleppo to Deir ez Zour - but the scale of their engagements against ISIS are dwarfed by the US Coalition. Essentially, The Coalition fought ISIS in the East, while the Regime focused on other jihadi groups in the West.

Wish he would have just said “Not our damn fight”, but still WINNING. Hillary and Bill Kristol and the rest of the warmongering pigs are not going to be happy. And to John McCain - “Hah!”. You tried to support an element trying to destabilize Syria.

Not sure why I’d expect liberals to be happy about this but reading Trump’s twitter it seems like every peace loving dem is deeply upset that we aren’t in a full on nuclear war with Russia.

I’ve lost interest in all these s*hole countries and see no vital national security interest in Syria’s civil war. Arm Israel to the teeth, and bring our guys home.

Jihadi’s abhor having their funding cut off. When that happens, they’re little more than impotent maniacs with little power.

Jihadi’s can hurt us whether they’re based in Syria or elsewhere but their ability to project their devastation on America and Europe comes from their political enablers. The greatest untold story is how POTUS is waging war on the enablers behind the scenes.

Obama talks and the more he talks, the worse things happen.

Trump does and the more he does, the better things happen.

I agree , Syria was just another one of Obama's illegal clandestine war crimes. Obama was a rat war monger,he recruited ISIS from Iraq, then killed ghadaffi to seize Libyan assetts, then moved the war crime to Syria where Putin drew the line.

I would bet a lot of Hillarys e-mails would/should have them both in US prison and facing international tribunals, one of the worst intended consequences was the "refugee" invasion of Europe

how Obama and Hillary got away with all this evil is a mystery

"First reaction is distraction from no wall."

IMO, such a statement is absolutely NON-SEQUITER. The entire episode which also included Benghazi was cooked up by Obama and Hillary who should be called out for their war crimes. Not right at all to go there accusing Trump of using it to cover up the wall problem

Obama caused a lot of pain for not only this region but for the refugee flood to Europe it also caused

I meant for the country. The US had been losing our good people and a ton of money fighting for or against various Muslim sects. No benefit for our country.

The only non sequitur is you connecting Benghazi to my post. I had absolutely nothing else on my mind except the reality of what I said. 1 minute Trump is getting buried for apparently caving on shutting down the government. The next minute the Syrian announcement comes out of the blue. So that was my reaction. I felt it was important to post so I did.

Good point, but you can’t gather enough intelligence from the air.
