I’m more curious where the toilet connects.
The forest floor in the redwoods doesn’t see much light. It is always a cool dark place.
I’ll bet some sap will buy that thing.
And looking at the web site, the tasting room moved out of town a ways.
Uh, there’s some SAP money in the area that could easily afford this. SAP is in Redwood City, or maybe Redwood Shores. There used to be a Carrera GT semi-permanently stored at the Sofitel (now rebranded as a Pullman) there that was rumored to belong to one of the C-level execs.
The Bonny Doon Vineyards tasting room is in downtown Davenport north of Santa Cruz. It’s right next door to the Davenport Roadhouse, an excellent restaurant. Be sure to get their fresh sea scallops when they are in season - they are fantastic, sweet and tender meat. No fake shark meat masquerading as scallops at the Roadhouse.
A mile south of Davenport, you turn east on Bonny Doon Road, go until it turns into Pine Flat Road, and continue about a mile until you hit “Ice Cream Grade Road.” It eventually turns into “Felton Empire Road.”
The roads up in those hills have the best names ever. Where else in the entire country can you drive on Ice Cream Grade Road? It’s like Mark Twain himself made up the names.
I vant to go!
The real big money has left SAP far behind in the Bay Area. The big money is Apple, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Salesforce, eBay, Yahoo!, Uber, Oracle, and a zillion other famous and not-so-famous companies.
*Disclaimer: We only sell our products to those whom live in Redwood Forest.
It’s a fantastic trip and not well known. You can visit the Big Basin State Park and hike as far as you want through towering redwoods or hike over to the ocean. There’s a great string of towns from Big Basin down to Santa Cruz to visit along the San Lorenzo River. You move quickly from huge redwood forests to the great beaches along the San Mateo coast. Some of the beaches north of Santa Cruz are as deserted as can be. A little north you come to Año Nuevo State Park where you can see the magnificent elephant seals. Unlike so much coastal parts of the U.S., it is almost completely undeveloped from Santa Cruz to San Francisco (but it does get a bit crowded from Half Moon Bay to San Fran, tho).
Sorry, I don’t get it. ;>(
Read YOUR post #22
It really sounds just fabulous.
That area is only an hour and a half plane ride away for us.
I’m gonna go out on a limb, does the Carrera have a trunk? I wood like to know.
It’s impossible to ground, it’s in a tree house, which is up in the air. Duh.
(Kidding)
Sorry, still don’t get it. Must be Sunday night denseness.
Nice. Winter is often a great time to visit, too. More sunny days on the coast than in the summer and temps can be mild.
If you can pull the ladder up, it might be good when civilization collapses. But, the bandits could just wait until you eventually had to come down. Theyd probably test its flammability in the meantime.
If you look at the pics of the model home, plenty of sunlight through the glass.
They made a good iced wine and Framboise.
