An irrigation reservoir was found to be contaminated.
An outbreak of E. coli infections linked to romaine lettuce has been traced to at least one California farm, but its probably not the source of all the sicknesses, federal health officials said Thursday.
So far, 59 people have been reported sick across 15 states in the outbreak, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said. The CDC said 23 have been sick enough to be hospitalized, although no one has died. Canadian health officials have reported 27 cases linked to the same outbreak.
Investigators found the implicated strain of E. coli bacteria in the sediment of an irrigation reservoir on a farm in Santa Barbara county on Californias central coast. The farm, Adam Brothers Family Farm, has stopped shipping romaine and is helping with the investigation, the CDC and the Food and Drug Administration said.
But all of the illnesses could not be traced to this farm, so contamination is likely coming from somewhere else as well, officials told reporters.

Not surprised.
Illegals poop where they are.
Vegans hardest hit.
Why bit? California is full of feces. Why shouldn’t it get in the food from there. Oh, and e ready for the bubonic plauge, starting in Los Angeles.
Our Water Authority finally covered all of their open tanks.
And I believe aeration takes care of a lot of the problems.
Romaine lettuce apparently makes good toilet paper.....................
Romaine is back in our grocery store. It is loose and not packaged so no identifying info on where it’s from (not that many of the packages had that info to begin with). I bought iceberg instead and will take off a couple extra outside leaves than I used to before eating.
I eat my vegetables after being fully cooked now. I like spinach in a salad, but I became sick at about the same time as the Romaine lettuce recall. So now I’m eating spinach after cooking it. Same with broccoli, peas, etc. I don’t think the food chain is going to improve.
Meanwhile, they are responsible for ALL lettuce growers nationwide taking a hit on romaine.
Do they have massive food recalls in Europe?
Every day over 100 are killed (DEAD!) on US roads.
Cigarettes about a HALF MILLION every year.
Alcohol 88,000 a year.
Lettuce?
Cui bono?
Yup...Ain’t diversity great?
cooking the cauliflower takes care of that. Stick the lettuce in some chicken soup. Cheaper than endive.
Skip the lettuce altogether. As far as nutritional value, lettuce is the most expensive way for a farmer to ship water.
Most of the time I do. My usual salad is tomato, cukes, egg, black bean, garbanzo beans and black olives. And if I feel really into it....croutons.
Mexican toilet paper..
Illegals poop where they are.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Thats more or less it. Who wants to walk a mile to the nearest potty when you are paid by count? Over time there us a cumulative problem of feces in the soil at levels that breed
a nest of e-coli in the fields.
That farm should be shut down and fumigated.
Bot to mention that many of these illegals carry EV-D68,an enterovirus, or a derivative, which right now is infecting many with polio like symptom-ed sickness..
I stopped buying California produce long ago, I stick with the local greenhouse stuff far away from the diseased handlers the Dems let into our country.
We have only seen the beginning of the virus kill dedicated to kill white Americans, Asians and Jews, which is why the Obama traduced, Alinsky CDC refused to report polio like deaths to the federal Department of Health. We have a hidden epidemic on our hands that NO ONE is speaking about.
You bet we need to build a wall, or be out bred to dead as Americans. You see, South American women have no reservations about popping out a half doc en children while American women are busy doing their nails, birth control and abortion. These are the real reason we need a wall, drugs, disease, and demographic loss pf Americans.
