An emotional Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's former lawyer and fixer, was sentenced Wednesday to 3 years after pleading guilty to nine federal charges stemming from his failure to report millions of dollars in income making secret payments to women who claimed they had affairs with Trump.
One of the charges Cohen pleaded guilty to included a separate charge, stemming from Robert Mueller's probe into Tump's potential collusion with Russia, that he lied to Congress about his dealings with a proposed Trump Tower in Moscow.

What Cohen is guilty of (apparently) is lying to the IRS and banks about his own income. Nothing to do with Trump.
Nothing about the payments to 2 bimbos, or the discussion of a never-pursued project to have a Trump development in Russia, should be criminal.
This is gross over-reach by the feds, with the cretinous complicity of Cohen and his slimy Clinton lawyer Lanny Davis.

I thought mueller asked for 48 months? The judge gave him less then the prosecutor asked for in a plea deal?
The Feds were desperate to pad the charges, even if it meant fabricating fake charges. If they'd use a fake dossier to spy on Americans, why wouldn't they create law violations that don't exist?

I think from the day Trump hired Cohen he hired him to fix traffic tickets and pay off bimbos who claimed they had an “affair” with a billionaire playboy by the name of Donald Trump. Cohen is one of the stupidest, incompetent lawyers I’ve ever seen. How in the world did dunce ever got a law license is a mystery. What a rat. Not one thing he was charged with implicated Trump in any way. It certainly had nothing to do with “Russian collusion.” Mueller got him to lie about the president and Mueller didn’t want him to get a day in jail. The Southern District of NY fried his ass for tax evasion. Nothing else.

So the guy is guilty of tax fraud. Nothing to do with Trump. Last time I looked it was not a crime to make a secret payment to a porn actress.
He gave the wrong date. It meant nothing. The deal was what it was. There was no agreement to build a Tower. They were putting feelers out. Nothing new about that. In fact, they were cautious in their paperwork.
Meanwhile Hillary continues to walk free for doing a million times more. What a joke “Campaign finance violations” So in other words he pled guilty for something that’s not a crime - paying a ho to shut up - and lying to which democrats do every second. This is like a 3rd world banana Republic, the only reason he is getting jail time is because he couldn’t produce what Mueller wanted.
He will be watching from prison when Trump wins his second term.
So he pays stormy $130K to shut here up, and they are calling that a campaign donation.
Trup pays him back and they are calling that ‘unreprted income’
Is that the gist of it?
If he was Trumps lawyer WITH “POWER OF ATTORNEY” (get it?) to act, then he was authorized to spend Trump’s money on his behalf which makes #1 above a PERSONAL expense, not a political contribution, and #2 a reimbursement of funds.
Mueller is an evil piece of $hit
