China is doing everything it can to drag its feet and this is potentially another example of the lengths they will go to in order to steal our technology and bypass current (supposed) protections. China is playing the "North Korea" card with all its complaints and "yeah but's"...yet has already claimed to be making some concessions.
About the only possible actual deep state meddling is the rumor that Trump had no idea the arrest was happening....the author claims she's just an innocent who was traveling from Canada to Mexico.....that's more far-fetched than saying the terrorist enabler the Saudis killed in Turkey was just an innocent journalist.
When did China join NATO? We can’t stop them contracting with Iran anymore than we can stop Russia.
People refusing to cooperate with “business as usual” is the only thing I can see that will change the path we are on.

Not a whole lot of quelling going on. ‘Attempts” to quell is all I see and even that has to deal with local LEO divided in loyalty (which is why EU forces, such as they are, have been called in).

The arrest of a very prominent Chinese woman executive is a scary message to all European executives surreptiously violating sanctions with Iran. We will arrest your ass whereever we can find you. Trade with Iran and you will pay big time.
There will be a lot of fuss but in the end the woman will be released with an assurance that there will be no trade with Iran.
