With VA, its NOVA. Its turned from Purple to solid Blue.
I lived in Virginia for a spell back in the 90’s. Good grief! The local/state governments there tax/regulate the ca-ca out of the citizens up there. I couldn’t believe it.
Maryland just to the North was even worse. Beautiful places, but liberal socialist igmos in charge.
Whenever I heard Terry McCauliffe took the governors mansion a few years back...I knew without a doubt, Virginia was done.

3 incumbent reps lost in Nov including Dave Brat. Not only has NOVA turned but also the Richmond suburbs and most of Tidewater. The GOP is now limited to a few rump CD’s in the western part of the state.
For the last few cycles the Rinos sat it out when a conservative was nominated and the conservatives sat it out when the Rino got it. Now it doesn’t matter anymore.
