I would plead the Fifth with this evil Federal government...

... and my nickname as a young man (a term of derision from a recidivist) was The Straight One (as in arrow, not sex).

CWII may indeed come. We would quickly be put down. (There are worse fates.)

The truth is that soldiers and police follow orders, and the order givers would be the enemy.

I am sick of talk of the rank and file. They all have pensions and families and colleagues, and they all follow orders.

Exhibit A: The San Jose Convention Center. Extrapolate that to the national level. Not pretty.

I’ve said the SAME thing on this board.

It’s their jobs and it supports their families and wives and husbands and kids and mortgages and cars and food.

We will be crushed.

Though Checknya did a pretty good job against Russia!!

And Afghanistan did a tough job against the Russians.

Never speak without having immunity. Here is a brief excerpt about a White House attorney who asserted her 5th Amendment right against self incrimination.

The George W. Bush administration saw an invocation of the Fifth Amendment during a congressional review of the dismissal of several U.S. attorneys.

In 2007, Justice Department official Monica Goodling refused to answer questions about the firing of federal prosecutors. Goodling, senior counsel to then-attorney general Alberto Gonzales, was subpoenaed to appear before the Senate Judiciary Committee about the firing of eight U.S. attorneys.

"The potential for legal jeopardy for Ms. Goodling from even her most truthful and accurate testimony under these circumstances is very real," Goodling's lawyer, John Dowd, told the Associated Press at the time.

She had a very small legal bill for this statement; and that was the end of her involvement.
