President Donald Trump's views on climate change are very, very well established.
Just over eight years ago, he tweeted this: "The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make U.S. manufacturing non-competitive." In 2014, he penned this tweet: "It's late in July and it is really cold outside in New York. Where the hell is GLOBAL WARMING??? We need some fast! It's now CLIMATE CHANGE."
All of which brings me to last Friday -- 48 hours after Trump's how-can-the-world's-climate-be-changing-if-it's-cold-in-half-the-country-on-one-day tweet -- and the moved-up release of the Fourth National Climate Assessment, a study involving 13 federal agencies and more than 300 leading climate scientists.
If you missed the study's release, well, that was the point.
What's genuinely scary about this is that, unlike some random dude on the street who chooses to ignore the science on climate change, Donald Trump is in a position to have a considerable impact on how we approach (or don't) solving the problem. He already has -- pulling the United States out of the Paris Climate Accord. That makes the US the only country in the world not signed on to the global attempt to curb climate change.
The decisions Trump makes -- or, more likely, doesn't -- on climate change are not the sort of thing that are easily reversible. This latest report -- you know, the one that the Trump administration sought to bury because its conclusions are at odds with the President's personal beliefs -- suggests they may not be reversible at all.

CNN doesn't mention that all of these agencies are staffed with political bureaucrats who live, feed and thrive in Washington, DC.

This “report” was NOT made by the administration. Take a look at it folks...Trusting CNN or USA Today’s interpretation of a climate report from one source is like trusting Hillary to be honest about her e-mail. They shriek at events that have not only happened before but to greater intensity.
First, the Trump administration did not produce this report, The US Global Change Research Program did. USA Today is outright lying as to whom produced it. Second, it is clear by the “strategies” they wish to employ that it is political in nature.
Not one shred of peer-reviewed work on this, its activism.

Yes, the previous 900 articles about this report were almost impossible to find, as was the major coverage on every single network news show and the non-stop panels discussing it on the cable news networks. Additionally, already in the works are PBS and BBC specials on it, and it's being written into the plot lines of 19 different network television shows, from comedies, to reality shows, to dramas. Animal Planet, ESPN, OWN, NatGeo, MTV, BLT, BTN, The Weather Channel, CSPAN, The Food Network, TBS, Comedy Central, and the Cartoon Network will each have a special about it and every single late night comedian will interrupt his regular anti-Trump monologue to have a "very special" non-comedy moment to highlight the report with tears in his eyes. And Sesame Street will try to gently let the children know they are all about to die.
But other than that, this phony report has been completely buried.

As to the program itself, it's "...steered by the Subcommittee on Global Change Research (SGCR) of the National Science and Technology Council’s Committee on Environment, which is overseen by the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP)."
So it's made up of federal agencies coordinated by a White House office. How could it be any more an administration report?
