Authorities clashed with members of a migrant caravan after a group estimated to be in the hundreds stormed a US port of entry, according to video and photos posted to social media from journalists on the ground.

The migrants left a makeshift shelter in Tijuana to head for San Ysidro, the largest port of entry on the southern US border. It has been reported nearly 5,000 migrants from the Central American caravan were being held in the Mexican city.

“reportedly stormed port of entry” Well, well, just like I said they’d do and several FReepers hollered at me for daring to say they would. Most naive.

There will be economic pain in TJ with the border closed. I hope they will enjoy the invasion.

You also said that 100% would get through and spread throughout the US and nothing would be done...

THAT’S what FReepers “hollered” at you about...

And Tijuana loves the tourist $’s. Can you imagine having gone to TJ to have a Margarita, maybe do some shopping and being on The Wrong Side this afternoon?! Yikes.

Otay crossing is still open. But SY is closed tomorrow thousands won’t show up for work tomorrow. My SIL and three of her kids won’t.

I’ve only been to San Diego a few times and always used the walkway crossing at SY to visit TJ. I would imagine there will be huge financial impacts on both sides.

Is your SIL and her kids in TJ?

Trump in the Tweet mentioned: "We only will allow those who come into our Country legally."

I.E. Only those who come thorough customs.

Next step is to rush the border. 99% will get through. That 1% who get caught can claim they rushed through to keep from being trodden down. IOW, 100% will get all their gov freebies by the new year.

Not wrong...

You said 100% when I said 99%. Doesn’t matter it was a slight difference, you were wrong.

Just wait and see. I’ll bring the popcorn.

The San Diego Trolley station at San Ysidro is closed. People will have to cross at the Otay Port about 12 miles to the east. This really going to hurt retail businesses in San Diego.

U. S. needs to ask Mexico to prosecute anyone who takes a child into a mob rushing the border.

That is child abuse.

Yadda, yadda, yadda. The military is impotent; they’re only there for show. The invaders will cross in their thousands. A few may be apprehended, or even killed, by citizen militias (who will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law), but the majority will saunter in and stay. Get to work, taxpayers!
