Companies say contributions made before lynching comments became public; law makes that unlikely
Half a dozen corporations have asked Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith to reimburse their contributions to her runoff campaign.
The companies have been under intense scrutiny in recent days for their financial support of the senator in the wake of her remark that she would be “on the front row” of a “public hanging” at a campaign stop earlier this month. The NAACP has said her comments evoke Mississippi’s bloody history of lynchings.
The video has drawn new attention to her runoff race against Democratic challenger and former U.S. agriculture secretary Mike Espy, who is black.

There were no “lynching” comments.
The GOPe plugged her into the senate seat. No way she would have beaten Chris McDaniel without their backing.
I blame Mitch, Haley Barbour. and the GOPe for fumbling the seat away in Alabama. They got behind a man with their PAC money that most state thought shouldn’t be elected.

One begins to wonder if Moore in Alabama and this business in Mississippi are “coincidences”, or more planned dropping of seats like the 40 Rino House representatives who left CONgress, almost certainly giving the House to the KKKrats.
You can bet that the whole cheating team is on the ground in Mississippi skipping Thanksgiving dinner and getting ready, hiding boxes of ballots all over the state, lawsuits already drafted, judges selected, the whole nine yards.
And what are the Republicans doing to protect seat #53 in the next Senate?

Since when do blacks and the racist-cabal get to claim “lynching” as their private preserve for harvesting outrage - I’m half German descent - how ‘bout those Germans who were lynched and tarred-and-feathered in this country in the anti-German hysteria during WWI - I understand that what the senator to be was saying was said in jest - I’m not even half-outraged.....
I’m gobsmacked the appointed GOP Senator from MS was a staunch Hillary Criminal supporter in 2008. This is the best we can do? Really???
It would be almost impossible to lose Alabama and Mississippi to the democrats but the GOPe can find a way. They’re a bunch of swamp monsters. They would much rather deal with a democrat than a conservative.
She’s been in the Senate. She was solid on Kavanaugh.

McDaniel ran. He lost. He got 16% of the vote.

Correct. She will win because she has the full support of the GOPe. She will be a reliable back bench vote for the open borders/unfair trade K Street agenda. Had McDaniel made these faux paus Senator Wicker would be campaigning against her right now. No doubt. As we saw in Alabama the GOPe has no problem campaigning for and electing a Democrat.
