My thoughts exactly. I never served but I have friends in the Marines and in the Army Rangers. There's no way a group of Marines would have said anything except, "You'd better go and get some more guys. We're hungry today."

That was my thought. They maced them first. I don’t care who you are or how much training you have, unless you are a grizzly bear, that pretty much does you in for a period of time.

I wonder if they didn’t know they were Marines — they saw the haircuts and assumed they were some kind of alt-right. Not that that excuses it in the least.
I give the Marines the benefit of the doubt here unless more facts come out. Someone gets you in the face with mace...you are at a severe disadvantage if they are close enough to follow up with a baseball bat or "bike lock".
