Kind of a shame that this person came to his senses at this time, as opposed to that good bit earlier.

Next two years will be spending our tax dollars on investigations, investigations, and more investigations.

The Democrats are just absurd. Out of their minds! Those who think this persecution is okay just because they don’t happen to like the president are tearing this country apart and making rubbish of the Constitution. It’s juvinile and pernicious.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal
They say there's no such thing as an ex-Marine but that's BS and Blumenthal is a good example.
Not only did he lie about being a 'Nam vet, he was just a weekend warrior.

Have you seen what Harvard is putting out these days? He shouldn’t be bragging.

Schoolhouse Rock should be mandatory for elementary schools.

Basically, all the de I data have to do is just sue in front of a forum shopped judge. The courts are asserting their rule over this country and it is an absolute one.

Trump should have named Whitaker his Law Czar who can make recommendations to the DOJ. Have one for every agency, just like Obama did. They could write regulations and have unlimited power within their agency. As well as not answer to congress.

No matter what “wise things” come out of Dershowitz’s mouth, he found it perfectly fine to have sex multiple times with an unfree 16 year old girl. So I don’t care what he says now. Who did he think was this minor’s “guardian?” Jeffery Epstein, whom she lived with, serviced sexually, and screwed whomever he told her to, in order to have something on them? Mr. Constitution didn’t see the need to call Child Protective Services to help her, did he? Noooo, he thought inserting his penis would be enough help. Many times.

I read in another thread that the dumocrats were suing to stop the appointment of Whitaker. Should they sue and lose, peril awaits them.

I’m not sure how good Whitaker is going to be as an AG, but it’s patently obvious that the Democrats are extremely nervous that there’s someone in that office who won’t recuse themselves from doing the job at hand.

It’s my understanding that the DOJ has already stated that the appointment of Whitaker falls within the guidelines.

They argue that under the succession statute, the role of acting AG rightfully belongs to Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein.

Fishing for an excuse for impeachment, they are hoping Trump or Whitaker will fire him.

Dershowitz is probably wrong on anything related to an "acting" appointment under the Vacancies Act of 1998 to a cabinet position reporting directly to the President. There's a good chance the Whitaker appointment wouldn't stand up to constitutional scrutiny here.

Having said that, the biggest flaw in the lawsuit these three idiots filed is that I don't see how they can have any legal standing to challenge Whitaker's appointment. They aren't parties to a case that he is prosecuting, so their recourse is to deal with Whitaker in their official capacities as U.S. Senators.

So now the Attorney General cannot “collude” with the President...his direct supervisor who has unquestioned authority to fire him at will?

Banana republic.

“I am particularly concerned about whether Mr. Whitaker may have shared with the White House, or could share in his new role, confidential grand jury or investigative information from the Special Counsel investigation or any criminal investigation”

Guess what? There is nothing improper with the AG sharing that information with the President, even if the President is the one under investigation.

A “special counsel” is not an “independent counsel”, he is part of the DOJ, and the DOJ is under the supervision of the President. If the left wants an investigation that is not ultimately under the purview of the Executive, they need to do it through Congress, as the founders intended.

How much money will Dems. waste on needless investigations?
They should be investigated for needless political investigations.

“Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) wants the DOJ inspector general to investigate President Trump’s relationship and correspondence with Matthew Whitaker...”

The way the idiot DOJ inspector general works, there will be a new DOJ appointed long before he even starts the investigation.
