Being mayor of Portland, Ore., may have gotten to Ted Wheeler. On Thursday, after finishing a speech at the Oregon Health Forum in which he was heckled, Wheeler mumbled, “I can’t wait for the next 24 months to be over,” indicating he may not seek re-election, the Oregonian reported.

Well, when you’re a spineless douchebag that gives into the mob and allows them to take over your city, when you’re too arrogant to admit that your liberal policies have turned your city into a drug infested dump, when your liberal policies have shown the world that liberals don’t really care about anyone else as along as they get to live in their uber, white affluent enclaves while the rest of the city burns, that’s what happens.
Wasn’t Portland supposed to be one big Liberal experiment to show the world that liberalism and allowing people the freedom to do whatever they wanted, was the greatest thing ever and it would be an example for all the world to see and aspire to. Instead, like SanFran, Denver, LA, and pretty much every other liberal/Democratically run city, it’s sh*thole, where the gap between the rich and everyone else gets bigger and bigger by the day.
I’m really looking forward to see just how far Denver, and the rest of the state, is going to sink under Polis. It’s going to get ugly there.

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone reported people defecating, or leaving bags of excrement on the streets and sidewalks of even more major cities just like San Francisco.
Same thing is happening in LA and Seattle. And if you think about it, it’s way past saying they are cities run by Democrats and/or Liberals. The leadership in those places aren’t either. No different than New York, Chicago or Boston. All of those cities are run by criminals that hide behind the Democrat/Liberal beard, so they can rob those places blind and enrich their friends. In turn, enriching themselves. If they truly cared, they’d do something about it.
All they do is maintain the status quo, as long as their rich donors and supporters can live in their quaint, exclusive neighborhoods, all wrapped up in a bubble. You’ll see action when that plague hits those neighborhoods. Until then it’s like the Hunger Games in those cities.
Think about this: Brooklyn, NY has a huge muslim population. Lots of mosques. There aren’t any mosques on the upper east side. Lots of wealthy Jews on the Upper East Side. Schumer and DeBlasio ain’t getting any money if a mosque or two go up in that neighborhood.
He wants to paycheck and wants extra governing powers.
What he needs, however, is a fully functioning brain.
And a whole lot of Humble Pie.

We moved, from Denver, 25 years ago. Miss the beauty of the mountains because we live in a flat state now. We are a flat but green state, blessed with over 60 inches of rain so far this year. Wifey loves the humidity and her no longer dry skin.
We remember CO, a state that was slowly turning from Conservative to liberal due to the massive influx/invasion of Californians in the 1980s.
As far as Oregon, Washington and California, I couldn’t care less about the results of their self induced failures.

It’s very interesting that you bring up Californians. I commented on that exact thing a week or so ago and someone took issue with me in a rather heated way. They described themselves as living in California, Conservative and getting ready to move out of the state. Was very emotional because they were sick and tired of everyone blaming the destruction of their respective states on California.
Well, I guess I just, inadvertently, got my proof that Californians ruined Denver and then that plague spread to other parts of the state, ruining them as well.
It’s nice to know that you and your wife were able to escape.
