Thanks for thread A.B. And Bray, another great essay. Trump is spreading our message but is being savaged by MSM for his common sense approach to “how to prevent forest fires”. Another case of power lines sparking causing blazes (the other was in wine country somehow got to the grape vineyard and wiped them out. Fools in charge of the “Golden State”. It will soon resemble the surface of the Moon.

I saw this on another This poster offers a very harsh critique of the CA state govt in bed with the monopoly that is PG&E. PG&E was a large factor in why we left Northern CA.

Things are about to get far worse than you could ever imagine for California and ultimately the country. On one hand, I am happy that my local Republican state reps were able to get SOME logging reform done via SB901 which was just signed into law. Private land owners can finally log on their properties (first time in nearly 50 years!) and brush removal in fire zones is going to be better funded. It is nowhere near the solution needed but it is a small win for those of us in ruby red rural California.
HOWEVER, the price of SB901 is going to be the monetization of human tragedy. In California, we have a public bank called California Infrastructure Development Bank (IBANK) which is located in Sacramento. It generally issues state bonds for various projects. SB901 just authorized the bank to allow Power Gas & Electric (PG&E) to take out “rate reduction bonds” to close the gap of expected losses for PG&E that cannot be made up except by raising rates to astronomical levels. In turn, PG&E can continue to operate, update, and maintain their infrastructure. Please keep in mind that for 12 million of us, there is only one power company to choose from and that is PG&E (they basically have a monopoly).
Likewise, SB901 authorizes California to issue “recovery bonds” to PG&E to pay for all of the loss of human life, leveling of cities, etc. What this means is that the state of California is going to MAKE MONEY from allowing forest fires to get out of control because of PG&E’s negligence in maintaining their infrastructure and California’s negligence in poor forestry management. The federal government will then offset the more extreme losses via FEMA. The interest of the state is to actually allow the fires to cause more damage, since they will make money from interest on the bonds and keep union workers (emergency personnel, construction, etc.) fully employed. Remember, there is 0 political consequence for these fires- Democrats will not lose a single seat and they will maintain their super majorities. And honestly, people in the urban centers of California could care less about these fires or the people who are dying.
The worst part is that this behavior is coming to a RED state near you. Californian transplants are decimating RED states and we can’t stop it. You move to the Bay Area or LA to make it big- make $300K+ per year as a family while selling out your countrymen and then move to Tuscon, Arizona, Houston, Texas, or Boise, Idaho and live like a god while instituting far left progressive policies. California is a feudal society and it will be replicated where you live.
