The Vermont Democratic Party had two events planned for this weekend with the anti-Trump lawyer, one each in Burlington and White River Junction.
But after the news of the felony domestic-violence case against him broke, party officials started getting cold feet.
“The Vermont Democratic Party has canceled Mr. Avenatti’s forthcoming scheduled appearances in Vermont, and will be refunding all ticket sales,” state-party spokesman R. Christopher Di Mezzo said in a statement posted on social media.
The party scrubbed promotions for the events, set for Friday and Saturday, on its website.

4:50 PM PT — Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, the LAPD has already obtained an emergency protective order, prohibiting Avenatti from going near the alleged victim. We’re told they will serve him with the legal docs before he’s released from custody. We’re told he will be released on $50,000 bail.
Committing an atrocity on a woman. That seems to be a requirement for every male Democrat running for office!
It’s hard to say whether this is just another publicity stunt by Avenutti to keep his name in the news or if it is on the level. After all, this drama queen does seem to have a lot of anger issues.
He’s still in jail..guess the dirt bag can’t afford the 50,000 bail. Gee I wonder what he did with all the money he made defending Stormy..put it in some woman’s g string?
