Martha McSally was a #NeverTrumper before the 2016 election.
She refused to attend the Republican convention. But Paul Ryan really liked her.
Conservative radio host and author Mark Levin told his audience on Monday that McSally refused to go on his show.

Kelli Ward would be my first choice and I agree; she does need some seasoning to play in the big game.
She is a proven conservative and she did a fantastic job for the people in her district at the state level.
The absolute last thing I ever want to see is another McCain in any political office. He was the worst of the worst. I can’t imagine anyone related to him would be any better.
Kyl committed himself till the end of the year. He may or may not be convinced to stay until 2021 when the next elected senator takes over. I think he wanted to see how the midterms turned out and evaluate the time commitment with his family. coming out of retirement isn’t easy when plans are made with others.
I hope you’re right. Then again I can’t believe Arizona voters elected Enema the Meth Head either.
Yep she lost 50,000 supports who probably didn’t vote for either - conservatives have principles.

No fraud. Sinema portrayed herself as a centrist who worked frequently with Republicans and who voted with Trump more often than not. McSally portrayed herself as...entitled. Her ads SUCKED. Spent late-Aug thru mid-Oct running one ad over and over - saying Sinema supported child molesters. No matter how crazy she might be, Sinema doesn’t support the right to molest children!
My daughter has a college friend (Arizona born) who split her vote. She told my daughter she did so because McSally never said what she was for - just attacked Sinema for things said “years ago”.

Same thing happened in Alabama. Two good and one okay candidates slip the vote that allowed Roy Moore the nomination. People can say what they want but Roy was a horrible candidate. Now Alabama has a democrat for a senator.
Wish I could hear what he will not tweet about as to those vote splitting.

Well, that is one of the plans.
Huckabee suggested Ducey appoint McSally soon to replace Kyl & becomes senior senator.
The two biggest problems facing this country are border security and the Anchor Baby problem. If the GOP does not get both of those issues under control within the next 2 years it is over.

The GOP has spent the last thirty years making sure we could not solve those two issues.
Oh, there is probably some distinction between the first female AIR FORCE fighter pilot (versus Navy), and people don’t notice the qualifier. To me, by making SUCH a big deal out of it, it becomes something freakish, like the first talking dog. It isn’t the case, of course.
IIRC Women were flying supplies into enemy territory in WW II (even more dangerous when you can’t fight back). But if a woman is every bit as able, then it shouldn’t be such a big deal if she does it, nor is it a testament to extraordinary ability if she happens to be the first.
And I hate to say this, but in my experience MANY of the military types who get into politics are pragmatists and not constitutionally conservative, and are almost as likely to be Democrats (Tammy Duckworth comes immediately to mind) as Republican. I appreciate their service, but the service by itself doesn’t define a greatsSenator.
what the heck did Kyl agree to serve for 5 months? why would Duecy let Kyl take the job if he wasn’t gonna serve til 2020? stupid all the way around. The AZ citizens get crappy representation under MCain, half a—ed rep under Kyl too?

and your daughters friend should have done her own homewrok and not just listen to ads or such to say such a lie as McSally didn’t say what she was for. she voted uninformed by her own choice. did she ever bother to go to places McSally spoke or read McSally website? the young woman makes herself a big fool if she didn’t bother to look into simple ways to see what McSally was about. Media is always slanted toward Dems. If People want both sides truthfully, they have to look into it. Maybe you can educate your daughter to educate her friend she’s not using her brain and just regurgitating media points, just like the way kids are schooled regurgitate enough to get a certain test score but not really learn to think and reason or the intended subject.
as a person no we lost almost nothing, but as a vote in senate yes her vote would have helped much.
McSally controlled her ads. Her ads sucked big time, as I pointed out weeks prior to the election. I still thought McSally would win by 2-5 points, but it is the CANDIDATE’S job to sell themselves.
Sinema did. She did the work and ran the ads that portrayed what people wanted to hear - that she voted with Trump more often than not, that she frequently crossed the aisle to vote with the GOP, that she wanted troops on the border, etc.
McSally ran on Hannity. Sinema ran in Arizona. And look who won!
