GA GOV: Surprise Ballots? Democrats Say They Found New Ballots That Could Torpedo Republicans

Georgia’s gubernatorial race is another contentious battle. Republican Brain Kemp has a two-point lead, but Democrat Stacey Abrams refuses to concede. She bizarrely talks of a “do-over” when it comes to this race (via The Hill):

Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams offered no signs she plans to concede in the Georgia gubernatorial race during a speech in the early morning hours of Wednesday.

"I want to say this: if I wasn’t your first choice or if you made no choice at all, you’re gonna have a chance to do a do-over," Abrams said during the speech to supporters, alluding to a potential recount.

"Votes remain to be counted, there are voices that remain to be heard," she said. "We believe our chance for a stronger Georgia is within reach."

Abrams's remarks came shortly after her campaign manager Lauren Groh-Wargo said her campaign believes there are outstanding votes in Democratic areas as well as provisional and absentee ballots that could lead to her victory, Talking Points memo reported.

Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp (R) led Abrams 51 to 48 percent with 97 percent of precincts reporting when Abrams made her speech.

Abrams seems to be hoping for either a runoff or recount. Under Georgia law, if a candidate fails to clinch over 50 percent, it triggers a runoff that will be held on December 4. Obviously, they want the latter. It’s now about those provisional ballots (via NBC News):

Democratic gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams' campaign disputed on Saturday her opponent Brian Kemp's claims that there are not enough outstanding provisional ballots for Georgia's governors seat to trigger a recount or runoff election.

Abram's campaign said their findings show a total of 26,846 provisional ballots are uncounted as of Saturday morning. Meanwhile, Kemp's campaign said 21,190 provisional ballots are still outstanding.

[…]

If Abrams is able to gain slightly more than 23,700 votes on Kemp, the race is pushed into a mandatory recount. If she can gain about 25,600, it is forced into a runoff. The Democrat is hoping that once all the votes are accounted for, her opponent's vote share drops below the critical 50 percent threshold, which would trigger a runoff election on Dec. 4.

[…]

Kemp said Thursday that even if Abrams received "100 percent" of the remaining provisional ballots, he would still come out on top.

Abrams' campaign lawyers filed a lawsuit Thursday over absentee ballots in the state's Dougherty County.

Groh-Wargo said Kemp owes the people of Georgia "an explanation" for why accurate and complete information was not being provided. "We need to see lists, we need to see names, we need to see counts of every vote," she said, later adding that the campaign would not stop pressing forward "until we are confident that every vote has been counted."

U.S. District Judge W. Louis Sands said that the county must accept all absentee ballots received by Friday and will not certify the results of the election until Tuesday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

And now we have surprise ballots that Democrats say put them within reach of sinking Kemp (via Washington Examiner):

The Democratic Party of Georgia tweeted Saturday evening that a "handful" of Georgia counties reported thousands of "new" absentee, early, and Election Day votes not accounted for by Republican candidate Brian Kemp.

[…]

The latest vote tally on the Georgia secretary of state's website shows Kemp leading by more than a percentage point. Kemp had 1,975,806 votes to Abrams' 1,916,931 -- a margin of 58,875 votes -- leading 50.28 percent to Abrams' 48.78 percent. The Libertarian candidate, Ted Metz, had a mere 37,149 votes and 0.95 percent of the vote.

Yeah, I’ll let you debate among yourselves about all of these “new” ballots keep popping up.

This nonsense is unbelievable - state after state!!!!! Do we just have to accept this? Is there no authority that can intervene? And, on top of that, we have this horde of military-age men moving in our border. This is an army, for crying out loud, an army to support these people illegally seizing power with their incredibly blatant cheating. When does our side wake up?

If they get away with this, why even bother to vote.
This must be fought in Az, GA, and FL.
Vigorously.
This, folks means war.
And real war, if necessary.

In the history of USA, have more votes benefiting the Republicans ever happened?

What, is this a game to these people? Like how many republican votes can we neutralize before someone takes action? Let’s just keep up the torpedos.

How convenient

How do we know these are “real”

How do we know if these ballots were not modified, IE undervotes “corrected” to dem candidates?

How do we know the republican ballots were sanitized and destroyed?

I call fraud on these “new found ballots”

If they were cast on election day, they would have been counted on election day

Once the voting process is perverted, you are a slave. A fraudulent veneer of an election and voting remains, but the results are pre-determined and your vote is meaningless.

Is there no authority that can intervene?

Who HAS authority? Our new Attorney General? The Supreme Court?
The RATS don’t care if they cheat and they don’t care if they’re caught cheating and they don’t care if we know they cheat because they feel emboldened beyond belief - partially because NOTHING negative ever happens to them because of the spineless Republicans!

Problem is . . . elections are a STATE issue.
Methods, operations and counts are all controlled by the states. If Prog Dems run the state, or the election commission, there is no cure. That’s why there is an effort to get Prog Dems in as Sec of State in swing states.

One solution . . .

Use Civil Rights laws to compel action. “One Man, One Vote” is being destroyed by voter fraud. Bring a federal suit against any actor and sue the jumpin-jehosephat out of ‘em.
Discovery will be a very interesting pursuit.

Georgia, another State off my move to List.

The very idea that this Loon is so close the Governorship puts Georgia in the same league as any Liberal infested hellhole.

The number of “free” States continues to shrink. Pretty soon there will be an Underground Railroad for Conservatives looking to find a State where they actually have Representation.

Even the Southwest is being swallowed up. AZ, NV, NM and Beto in TX nearly derailing the Republican. Never thought I would see the day.

So true. Is there enough of the American patriot spirit of freedom left to do what is becoming obvious must be done? The corruption of our institutions is endemic. President Trump is resisted at every turn, both within and without the government. Come January, the investigations and House subpoenas will be endless. What next?

They - the ‘rats in every sense of the word - are going to keep recounting and keep “finding” ballots until they win. Forget felony charges of election fraud. I say we stand them up against a wall and give them one more recount. 1...2...3

Are you certain?

Federal criminal jurisdiction over the activities described below can generally be obtained when those activities take place:
In elections where a federal candidate’s name is on the ballot.
In any election (federal or nonfederal), when the fraud involves the necessary participation of an election official acting “under color of law.”
In connection with voter registration. The fact that voter registration is “unitary” in all 50 States (a citizen registers once to become eligible to vote for both federal and nonfederal candidates) confers federal jurisdiction regardless of the type of election.
In connection with the misuse, or unauthorized trespass, involving a computer system used in connection with an election, to the extent that the misuse or trespass is conducted “under color of law.”
II. Conduct Actionable as Federal Election Fraud, Intimidation, or Suppression
The following activities provide a basis for federal prosecution under the statutes referenced in each category:
Paying voters to register to vote, or to vote in elections where a federal candidate’s name is on the ballot (52 U.S.C. § 10307, 18 U.S.C. § 597), or through the use of the mails in those States where vote buying is a “bribery” offense (18 U.S.C. § 1952), or in federal elections in those States where purchased votes or registrations are voidable under state law (52 U.S.C. § 20511).
Multiple voting in a federal election, voting for individuals in a federal election who do not personally participate in the voting act attributed to them, or impersonating voters (52 U.S.C. §§ 10307, 20511).
Intimidating voters through physical duress in any election (18 U.S.C. § 245(b)(1)(A)); or through physical or economic intimidation in connection with registration to vote or voting in a federal election (52 U.S.C. § 20511, 18 U.S.C. § 594).If the victim is a federal employee, intimidation in connection with all elections is prohibited (18 U.S.C. § 610).
Malfeasance by election officials, acting “under color of law,” such as diluting valid ballots with invalid ones (so-called “ballot box stuffing”), rendering false vote tabulations, or preventing valid voter registrations or votes from being given effect in any election (18 U.S.C. §§ 241, 242), as well as in elections where federal candidates are on the ballot (52 U.S.C. §§ 10307, 20511).
Qualifying fictitious individuals to vote in federal elections by placing fictitious names on voter registration rolls (52 U.S.C. §§ 10307, 20511); or through “color of law” in any election (18 U.S.C. §§ 241, 242).
Preventing or impeding qualified voters from participating in an election where a federal candidate’s name is on the ballot through such tactics as disseminating false information as to the date, timing, or location of federal voting activity (18 U.S.C. §§ 241, 242).
Registering to vote, or voting in a federal election, by persons who are not entitled to vote under applicable state law, most notably persons who have committed serious crimes, and persons who are not United States citizens (18 U.S.C. §§ 1015(f), 611, and 52 U.S.C. § 20511).
Falsely claiming United States citizenship in connection with registering to vote or voting in any election (18 U.S.C. §§ 911, 1015(f)).
Voting in a federal election by anyone who is not a United States citizen in those States where citizenship is a requisite for the franchise (currently all 50 States) (18 U.S.C. § 611).
Providing false information concerning a voter’s name, address, or period of residence in order to register to vote, or to vote in a federal election (52 U.S.C. §§ 10307, 20511).
Causing the submission of voter registrations in any election, or of ballots in federal elections, that are materially defective under applicable state law (52 U.S.C. § 20511).
Ordering, keeping, or having under one’s control any troops or armed men at any polling place in a general or special election, if one is a civil or military officer or employee of the United States government (18 U.S.C. § 592).
