Kudos to Jake Tapper. On his State of the Union CNN show this morning, not only did Tapper raise with Georgia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams the legislation she introduced as a member of the Georgia legislature that would have forced Georgians to surrender their "assault weapons." Tapper then twice pressed Abrams on it as she tried to dance away.
Abrams's weasel word of the day: "conversation." No fewer than five times Abrams claimed she was merely trying to start a "conversation" on the subject. Sorry, Ms. Abrams: when you introduce legislation, you're not merely starting a conversation. You're expressing what in your heart-of-hearts you believe is the best solution to the problem at hand.
Beware Georgians, and gun owners across the country. When liberals say they just want to start a "conversation" about taking your guns away, they will make every effort to turn that "conversation" into reality.
Note: further credit to Tapper for not buying into the gun control enthusiasts' "assault weapons" terminology. Tapper was careful to describe them as "so-called assault weapons," and a bit later spoke of "semi-automatic rifles that are called assault weapons."

I saw some guy trying to explain her gun confiscation thingy this weekend. She won’t take away any guns, just military style weapons which aren’t guns. Understand it now?
Confiscating firearms is how you start a revolution or a civil war, not a conversation.

I could have sworn they were ‘AR-47s’. Which we all know would mean they are like 32 times more powerful than the more common AR-15.

Abrams is a full-on commie who lies about that in hopes of fooling the voters and getting elected. On top of that there is something just off about that woman.
“Conversation”, “Listening Tour”: euphemistic terms that democrat politicians love to use that mean they could care less what people actually think. They could care less what the facts actually are. They are planning to ramrod their agenda through as soon as they get in power.
Is Tapper signaling a new CNN after the mid-Terms.
I think it’s inevitable that AT&T (the owners) will put pressure on CNN to become 50% anti-Trump instead of 90%.
I was in Dallas Fort Worth airport a couple weeks ago and actually so some decent non-political programming on the CNN tubes there!
Where there’s a will, there’s a way. And the need to keep the business afloat has a way of sharpening the mind.
