I have a hard time understanding Leftist US Jews. I struggled through reading Hannah Arendt’s “The Origins of Totalitarianism” years ago. Very complex sentence structure. Must be because of language barrier in translation.

The short answer to your difficult question is that many in the US Jewish community are suffering from a debilitating disease called (ATL) Acute Terminal Liberality which can then in later stages fester and become (TLH) Terminal Liberal Hemorrhoids and they die spiritually while slowly becoming ignorant, anal orifices.
These sufferers are not fully aware of their malady until very late in the terminal stages all the while they think they are championing such rashes as “justice” and Liberal causes ad nauseam.
They THINK and truly believe that what they are doing is the right thing, championing the right causes as their condition deteriorates.
They just are not aware that in totality, they are working against their own interests as Americans and as Jews. Very sad.
