So here’s the claim - Only an amendment to the constitution can change “birthright citizenship”.
But the 14th Amendment is being interpreted wrongly! Why is it necessary to produce another Amendment when there is nothing wrong with the old one. The _author_ of the 14th Amendment stated in no uncertain terms it does not apply to foreigners. So why are we making this so difficult?
How did it come to pass that nobody believed this crap in 1920 or 1940 or 1960? All of a sudden, somebody decided to look at things different. Who was that? Who gave the green light on that?
Why does congress act like spectators? “I’m open to looking at legislation...”
Wow! Profiles In Courage right there. Don’t be fooled. There is a remedy, they just don’t want to do it, and they sure as hell don’t want you to know about it.
Somebody needs to ask him point blank - YES or NO - forget the Constitution for a second...do YOU believe someone who is in the country illegally or on vacation and births a child...*should* that child automatically get US Citizenship? Don’t allow him to weasel his way out with words about “I’ll look at it”.
[”I heard you say that Lindsey Graham is going to put legislation forward” to rescind the law, ]
What the hell has happened the Lindsey Graham? LOL
We need to review it. And if I win, forget it like I do with all promises.
Too little, too late Donnelly. You can’t change your colors (yellow) at the last moment and think that sane people will believe you.
since there is no constitutional right to “birthright citizenship” for babies or children of foreign nationals visiting or residing in the USA,
and since (to the very best of my knowledge) there is no law creating such a ‘right’ either
no law is needed to terminate this illegal conferral of American citizenships
He has to think he’s behind the power curve...hope we finish him off.
He’s like the democratic version of Charlie Baker lol
> Senate Judiciary Committee head Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) said Tuesday that changing birthright citizenship would take a constitutional amendment. <
Say whaa??
Gotta love all these Lawyers(actually, Grassley has a degree in Political Science) who can’t read & comprehend the Constitution, Amendments and supporting record.
> Charles Ernest Grassley (born September 17, 1933) is an American politician serving as the senior United States Senator from Iowa, a seat he was first elected to in 1980. <
2020 will be 40 years in office. He won re-election in 2016 so he’ll be up for election again in 2022.
